• Sometimes the most beautiful part of a love story isn't the beginning, but the end.
• Story about a man with dementia and his wife - both very much in love although he keeps forgetting who she is
• Diana and Harold
• Recurring thing of him blinking and seeing a women next to him, some times he recognises her sometimes he doesn't.

• Thinks at one point he thinks he is just in hospital from a motorbike accident which happened 50 years ago
• "You always did tell me to stay clear of those bikes didn't you darling?" He smiled ruefully, "served me right."

• "Where are we anyway? The hospital?"
• "No darling, we're in an old age home."
• I blinked in astonishment, "but we're not old. You and I are only 30. We're still young."
• "Yes," she smiled, looking almost sad, "we're still young."

• A woman was crying next to my bed.
• "Excuse me Ma'am, but if you don't mind me asking - what's wrong?"
• "My husband is a silly old sop who doesn't even remember who I am."
• "He can't be worth much then. I don't know how anyone could forget any one as beautiful as you if you don't kind me saying so miss."
• "Oh... but it isn't his fault. Not really."

• "Diana, my love, why are you crying?"
• She hurriedly dried my tears, "oh, over silly things my love. The price of eggs, you know."
• "Ah," I said, smiling at her, "always a serious topic. So what do you think about the price of eggs? It musn't be good to have you crying about that."

• Final sentence: 'There was a beautiful women sitting next to my bed. I didn't recognise her, but my heart beat as though I'd known her for a life time...'
