A story inspired by "Beauty and the Beast" - with a twist.
Handsome:
• Name is Prince Philippe
• Belle and Beast's son?
• Turning 21 and preparing to take on the throne as the beast is old and wishing to pass the crown to him
• There have been lots of Balls for him to find a suitable queen, but he finds none of them interesting
• 'Having learnt from the story of my mother and father, I made it a habit to never judge girls on their appearance. Though sometimes I wonder if it would be better if I didn't, for many supposed "beauties" were made ugly to me through their acts and foolish speeches.'
Hag:
• Name is either Marie, Louise, or Jeanne
• The sorceress' daughter?
• She is ugly but her mother (the Sorceress) can't fix it because "my last drops of magic were in those rose petals."
Slight tension as the Hag's mother was the one who cursed the Beast. At first Belle and Beast are displeased, as are the servants etc. who also suffered because of the spell. But then Philippe points out that, if not for the Sorceress, Belle and Beast would have probably never have met, and things would be very different.
