Anna can see a castle on the hill.
And no, that's not a metaphor.
She can see a great big stone grey castle nestled within the forest in the distance. Like, it's right there, how can it be any more obvious?!
But then... why is she the only one who can see it?
Author's Note:
I did have am idea of adding "and why, on her 18th birthday, is there a word-less song ringing around the valleys that no one else hears, and a flare of light before the castle vanishes from even her sight?" but then I felt like that might be too cliché, but who knows haha.
Basically in the story there would be magic and monsters and the reason she can see the castle is because either:
A) She's actually some deep, secret royalty and it's her castle, but she was stolen/lost at birth, somewhat similar to what happens to Hercules in the Disney movie and so she lives with humans (who can't see it)
B) similar to above but she's not royalty, she just happens to have magic blood
C) Her child-like ✨️imagination✨️ reveals magic to herJust a bit of a random idea, I might expand more on it in the future but we'll see.
