The next morning, all of us Initiates woke up to the sound of metal banging on metal. Panicked, I shot up and scanned the room. Once I spotted Eric, he smirked.

Staring dead into my eyes. "Everyone up. Now. We're going on a little field trip."

Eric left and Christina grumbled, rubbing the drowsiness from her eyes.

"I could murder that guy. I really could."

"I think all of us could say that," I responded.

Everyone started getting up and dressed and ready. Christina and I took turns holding up a blanket for the other to change behind.

Once we were all set, our group sat on the beds to hang out. Me and Christina on mine and Thomas and Gally standing against the other.

I leaned on Christina. "It really is nice finally having a female friend. I wouldn't trade any of my guy friends for the world, we've been through hell together. But having a girl to relate to and stuff is really nice."

"Yeah, I bet it is," She took my hand. "I hope you get to see your brother soon. What was his name again?"

"Newt," I smiled softly. "And me too. I miss him so much. Him and Fry and Chuck."

"And his goat," Thomas chimed in, making the four of us laugh. "He loves that goat."

"I'm glad she could help him cope with things in the Glade. He's so young, he didn't deserve that life."

"None of us did," Gally added. "But it made us all tougher, so I guess not entirely a bad situation."

"Said the guy who was just sitting with his girlfriend in the infirmary."

I watched Gally's face morph into pure anger at the sound of Peter's voice. He and Thomas turned to look at him and his disgusting smirking face.

"Lay off it, Peter," I rolled my eyes. "You're just looking to get a rise out of someone for the attention you so desperately crave."

"Yeah, wrestling around with you was hot. Especially when I pinned you down. Can you really blame me?"

I felt a very uncomfortable flashback of Zart saying similar things in the Glade and I shuddered. So in shock that I wasn't sure what to say in response.

"Dude, one, that was disgusting," Zack came up behind Peter. "And two, if you think they're all so bad and not worth your time, why are you constantly bugging them?"

"Oh, lover boy coming to save the day?" Peter grinned. "She's not gonna get with you dude. She's way out of your league."

Zack shrugged. "She's happy, I can deal. Just leave them alone. Seriously. It's not worth it, man. You're already below the line. Don't make it worse by starting shit again."

Peter mumbled something under his breath as he seemed to drop the subject and turn away. Zack sighed and stood with our group.

"Thanks," I sighed as well. "Is he ever gonna leave me alone?"
