I was breathing heavily as I looked left and right with my pupils enlarged. The darkness took over my sight with no hope of escape. There was no point in screaming because no one would hear me. There was no point in crying for help because no one would know where I was. Suddenly, my eyebrows rose as a door opened, and I saw them. I took my last breath because I knew I was their next victim.
All this trouble started a long time ago somewhere in a mining pit.
"Come on guys! Keep it moving, we gotta get this money!" an Iguana member screamed.
"We work too hard for too long, but in the end, it is well worth it!" another Iguana member yelled.
Men were outside in hot temperatures mining for gold. Their sweat ran down to their foreheads and into their eyes which caused their eyes to burn, "Let's go! Move faster! We gotta get it distributed today, July 7th, 1966, you hear me!" the lieutenant said.
"Oh, heck no! Not the sun!" an Iguana member screamed. The sun rose on a Saturday morning and shone a state called Catalinas. Catalinas was a state part of a country called Dossroc.
"This sun is killing me! We're gonna price this gold at three hundred dollars per ounce," the lieutenant said.
"How much did we find?" the lieutenant asked.
"Billion dollars' worth of gold like always, sir. Now, let's sell it worldwide," the Iguana member said. Suddenly, he turned around, and his blood got pumped with adrenaline as he saw something he did not like, "Oh no," he said.
Gunshots were heard, and men with firearms ran towards the Iguana members to rob the gold. These men were from a mob called the Three Lord, "Fire!" an Iguana member screamed.
Iguana members shot at their enemies without hesitations or misses. It was a total war zone between two rivals. The battle ended until every Iguana member was dead on the ground, and the gold was taken away by the Three Lord.
Catalinas, a magnificent state with few morals. Her summers were hot, and winters were warm all year long. She feared and respected God's laws. Southern Catalinas was made out of three wealthy cities Dreamwood, Oroland, and Jasmine City. But every woman has its flaws. Global warming was a big concern worldwide due to fossil fuel combustion and deforestation. There were high levels of carbon dioxide and methane that impacted the planet. Many negative effects happened, such as warmer seas which caused storms to be slower and wetter. On top of the misery, there were droughts, heatwaves, wildfires, and flooding. There was also a rise in sea levels, loss of biodiversity, and an expansion of tropical diseases.
Catalinas was a wealthy state with low poverty due to an enormous, strong organization known as La Iguana. La Iguana got led by the president of Dossroc, Marcus Chamberlain. President Chamberlain lived in Saint Lorena's, the capital of Dossroc. But he loved the west coast of Dossroc superbly because of its gold. His love made him build a big hotel in Oroland to stay there when he visited Catalinas. His hotel was called Chamberlain Hotel, which was a home for his members as well. La Iguana specialized in the mining and distribution of gold. The empire was well organized by the president, it had lieutenants, gunmen, watchers, distributors, transporters, and workers. The Iguana workers mined gold using dredging methods and hydraulic mining.
President Chamberlain loved Catalinas. He spent a lot of his money on her. Chamberlain used his money to construct new schools, houses, and buildings. As long as Marcus had his organization in business and faith in God, the people were wealthy. The Iguana was rich, and the people who were in it. Envy and hate came to him for being too successful.
Marcus was targeted by the Three Lord. Three Lord distributed drugs and wanted to spread their drug territory across the country. But they did not fully succeed because Marcus taxed them and had La Iguana control their distribution. For that reason, the Three Lord wanted to get rid of the president and his Iguana boys to gain control over his gold territory and to sell drugs successfully. That was why Chamberlain built an underground place located under Oroland. Six feet down, his men hid inside for safety and made a prolific number of weapons for the war they had against the Three Lord.
