I woke up one Saturday morning and was full of energy. I walked upstairs to the cafeteria and prepared a delicious breakfast and orange juice with ice cubes. Later, I went outside with Santos and Cortez. We were in the parking area as we fixed some auto parts on De Medici's police car, "Have you seen Officer Rico?" Cortez asked. "No," I said. "I heard he after you," Cortez said. "Yeah, right, like if it was that easy," I said. We all laughed out loud. Later, Lamar came with my convertible on a towing truck. He dropped it off near us as he looked at me without blinking.
"What's up?" I said.
"You crazy for breaking the Dreamwood sign, you one crazy man," Lamar said.
"Yeah, I heard that one before. Thank you for the repair, I appreciate it. How's mom doing?" I asked.
"That's what I wanted to talk to you about. Your mom told me to tell you that she has lung cancer. She told me that she been had it, and she may not live longer because she got no more strength to fight it off. The doctor said she has a maximum of six months to live," Lamar said. My heart dropped to the floor, and my skin got cold, "I just found out about this. She told me she been had it but did not want to tell you," Lamar added.
I did not know how to react. I was heavy-hearted and wanted to cry intensely in front of these men. My dream was to move her to a better place, but I did not know where or how. My mind was full of negative, dark thoughts that blinded my day. I felt compelled by some sort of feeling to see her one last time. But how? If I was the number one public enemy on the planet and can't even step a foot out in any city. I planned to go visit my mom one last time without getting caught and move her to a better house or city. I want her to spend the last six months in a better environment. This problem made my brain go into a maze of confusion. Time was ticking, and I felt an urgency in my heart to do something right away.
I got in De Medici's police car and drove to Sosaville to see my mom. This was a big risk, but I did not care if the Barbarics saw me. All I wanted was to look at my mom one last time. As I drove to Sosaville, I had a flashback of when I was a kid playing basketball with David. Suddenly, I saw Officer De Medici in the passenger's seat, "You fool! You were always a fool. Look ahead, not the past!" De Medici cried. I blinked twice, and he was gone; it was a sudden vision I had. Later, bullets went through my tires, and I swerved the car. I crashed into a street light pole. I got dizzy and saw blurry all around me. I saw the door get opened by a man in a hurry. He dragged my body out, and I saw him pour gasoline all over my car. The man lit my car on fire, and I saw it explode. Then, he put a black bag on top of my head, and with the help of others, they put me into the back of a van. I felt someone duct tape my mouth, arms, and legs all around. I was slithering on the ground like a worm trying to figure out an escape. I was going crazy inside. I was screaming and flopping like a fish with no water.
Later, I heard the van door open, and I felt four men drag me out like a dead body. I listened to the guys carry me into a cold building. I got seated with my arms and legs wrapped around a chair with thick rope. The most disturbing part was that it was silent all around me. After five minutes, I heard voices and began to aggressively move. The bag and tape on my face got removed, and I saw Pablo Nine, CEO of Death Row. He wore a purple suit with a purple fedora dress hat. I turned my head a little and saw Diego and Jailbird, the crazy leaders of Death Row. There were four more gangsters around me. They all looked at me with a death stare.
"My million-dollar prize," Pablo said while he smoked his Cuban cigar.
"Look, a cigar, I know you want one," Pablo added.
"I needed to procrastinate my drug deal because me getting you is going to bring me more revenue," Pablo said.
"Oh, really," I said.
"Death Wish, any last words you want to say before I turn you in for the million dollars," Pablo said while smoking.
I rolled my eyes.
"And now something bad is going to happen!" Pablo said.
The guys completely untied me and dragged me to the backyard. That was exactly what I wanted them to do. I looked around for a chance to escape; I won't let them sabotage me. Once we were in the backyard, I fought back with the ones who were dragging me, and I escaped. I ran and jumped over the fence as if my life depended on it. I headed to the highway and ran like a robber with stolen jewelry. As I ran, I heard a van right behind me. The van was trying to get near me. I turned and saw Pablo Nine hanging out of the back door with a shotgun, "You think you slick!" he yelled. He let his shotgun talk but missed, and I kept running. Unfortunately, I saw polices in front of me, and it was a dead end for me. The police cruisers guarded me all around. One police got out of his car and tased me without thinking twice. I fell to my grave.
The cops carried me to a police cargo van and hung my body against the back of the vehicle with chains. I couldn't stand those cold chains wrapped around my skin like a snake! The van was on a mission to drive to a police station as four black SUV police cars were guarding me. Once the vehicle started to move, the sunset appeared. After fifteen minutes of driving up a hill, a SUV behind me had all the tires blown up from a distance by a man named Incognito. The SUV swerved and flipped to the ground. Once it fell, another SUV crashed into it. In a flash, the last SUV at the far back got hit by a rocket launcher. It flipped over and landed on the final car. Man, this was crazy! I was confused. I had no idea what was going on or what could have happened to me.
Surprisingly, a young man named Lil Mateo came to the scene like a predator attacking his prey at an unexpected moment. He had on a black, surgical-type mouth mask with spikes and rode his bike next to the collision. He pulled out his gun and fired at the tires of the vehicle I was in. Later, he rode his bike towards the van, and the driver did not notice him. Lil Mateo opened the driver's door and fought with the man. The driver kicked him overly hard to the point he was leaning out of the van while holding a strong grip on the side of the door. In my mind, I was like, boy, hold on, don't leave me inside here! But Lil Mateo was able to get back in the van and turned it off despite the pain. He grabbed the driver from his shirt and threw him out of the van. Lil Mateo released my body out of the chains and put me inside another van that Incognito was driving in. Incognito drove me back to Chamberlain Hotel. Man, I felt relief I got rescued.
The next day, I woke up lying on my bed while the clowns and Mr. Almighty stared at me as they stood, "Everyone will know I got away," I said. "It's going to be okay," Santos said. President O'Brian was furious about my escape. She ended up raising my bounty to thirty-two million dollars. She made my life easier for sure. Later, once I was all better, I got up and went to the top of the hotel to look at the view of Catalinas. I enjoyed watching the warm colors in the sky and palm trees. Softly, I heard footsteps from behind. It was Mr. Almighty as he stood ten feet away from me and joined to watch the landscape.
"Do you know those guys that saved me?" I asked.
"Yes, I sent them to protect you just in case things got bad out there," Mr. Almighty said.
As I looked at the scenery of Catalinas, I decided to start my gang for support, protection, and to go to battle. At that moment, I was going against everyone, and I was not going to let anyone capture me again. I needed people on my team to help me reach my goals because I was going to war with Dossroc, and I planned to win. Thankfully, Mr. Almighty knew the right people to bring on my team.
