Chapter 16: Karma (Part 3 Mr. Almighty)

John's business had no revenue at this point in his life, and he got seen as powerless, but to God, he was rich in faith. However, John was strong because God was on his side.

While John was in Jail, I sat at my front desk in the Chamberlain Hotel. I prayed, talked to Jesus, and witnessed the many things that happened in Dossroc. I sometimes went down to check on John's room. There was something weird about his bedroom. The candles were extremely bright all the time and never ceased. I thought that was oddly strange. I wanted to listen to some music, so I turned on my radio instead, "Karmacoma" by Massive Attack played.

No one knew that David was still alive. While he was at the hospital healing from the stab wound, he got visited by a mysterious man. The person approached David for two reasons (1) because David knew John, and (2) for help to remove John from the streets. From there, the man offered David money to fake his death so John could get a life sentence for first-degree murder. That man made everyone believe that David was deceased. David had no other choice but to live hidden from his family.

David was furious when he found out that John got only sentenced to 7 years in prison. His soul became more inflamed when he saw John succeed in the drug business. David's eyes were full of wrath and fire. He roamed the streets feeling lost and defeated. Until one day, David again was approached by the mysterious man. He offered him his own gang and more power in return for his soul. Out of a vulnerable position, he kissed the skull and was given power. David took this advantage to get his revenge on John for stabbing him.

David was known for being the CEO of his gang called Kobras. Kobras was a strong organization known as the rivals of John and his Diamonds. David did everything to bring John down. He told Rico everything he knew about John's team, leaders, friends, hotel, and his goal to see his mother. Karma helped the Catalinas Gang Enforcement Unit arrest twenty Diamonds per day. No matter where John was, David and his Kobras always had their eyes on him.

It was around three AM, and Karma was out in the streets sinning. He was on a mission to harm, steal, and destroy. Karma was in Jasmine City and had his Kobras use crane machines to knock down buildings. They used big trucks and construction machines along the road to stomp on other vehicles and houses. Karma had a lust to gather many young males for his empire to grow bigger. Karma and his Kobras broke into houses unexpectedly. They forcefully took the young males out of their homes and put them in trucks. Karma would drag them out of their home to the point their shirts got off. Horrific screams of mothers and young males got heard. The mothers were crying that their child got taken away to live a gang life. The young males resisted being part of the Kobras, but the boys had no other choice. Otherwise, they would get their brains blown out. Unfortunately, many families did not have a gun or weapon to defend their son from being taken away. But Karma only recruited fatherless guys, "I am Karma, your father, we are on a mission to sell my supply, capture & destroy John! And to win that money. We are wiping all the Diamonds. Wipe out all Diamonds! I am better than John! I was the firstborn! I was in this world first! I can't lose!" he aggressively said.

Later, Kobras got seen running on top of house roofs while holding on to long poles. Once they made it to the end of the roof, they would smash the big pole to the ground, jump on top of the pole, and lean their bodies to the next roof. The poles helped them get from one roof to the next. That night was a nightmare for many young guys. Many dreams got taken away. The night left like a criminal fleeing his murder scene, and the sun sadly rose. Karma had recruited forty new young men to his empire.

In jail, John was getting threats from many prisoners. He was also G-checked if he was a real Diamond. He got forced to fight with others, and he would get food thrown at his face. No matter what John went through, God protected him from evil, his enemies, and those who wanted to hurt him. Even though John was in the middle of hatred, the Holy Spirit reminded him to love his haters. It was hard for John to remain calm while being disrespected. As days went by, John got seen reading in his cell every day. Surprisingly, John was approached by a prisoner during lunch, "What's that book you read all the time?" a prisoner asked.

"The Holy Bible," John said.

"What's it about?" he asked.

"Is about God, life, how to live, basic instructions before living earth," John said.

The prisoner sat next to him and ate his lunch.

"My name is Tyron, and the feds put me in jail by mistake. I promise you it was not me who hurt her! My hands are clean; I hope everything turns out to be alright in court. I don't want to hear, 'it was him!' Or else my heart gonna drop, and mama gonna cry. Now, I wait until my court date," he said.

"And you must be John Esteban, Death Wish, the notorious gangster," he added.

"Yeah, that was me," John said.

"There are a lot of bad people in this pod. Anyway, teach me what the Bible says? I'm low-key interested," he said.

"Of course," John said.

That day, John got his prayers answered. The Lord sent the innocent prisoner to John. John preached to Tyron about the word of God. John mentioned how Jesus was the cure to all problems and that it was important to have prayer and faith in our lives. John told Tyron that men need to be raised as men of God and be good father figures for the males. As days went on, Tyron got inspired and decided to give his life to Jesus. John continued to preach at the cafeteria tables. The guards let John bring his Holy Bible to lunch that helped Tyron read along with him.

Many other prisoners noticed John and Tyron reading. Two men approached John and asked him what he was doing. Some of the prisoners sat to listen to John preach. As days went on, God sent more prisoners to John. The prisoners were open to the word of God, and it helped them change their life for the better. John could not understand how a group of criminals were able to humble themselves and listen. He was startled, "God is truly big and can do marvelous miracles," John whispered. Every time the guards and polices observed them, they saw everyone gathered around John. At the end of the day, God was able to save many prisoners. Some prisoners gave their life to Jesus. But others did not and stayed on their wicked path.

John met many people who had good hearts. He was friends with men from all different backgrounds and many others who truly felt sorry for what they did and had a desire to change. John treated everyone the same and never looked down on anyone. John was getting recognition in jail for helping others become better. John brought the presence of Jesus to jail. But no matter how many inmates looked up to him for help, John stayed humble and never considered himself better or wiser than them.

One day, some prisoners gathered at lunch and sang songs they created that were influenced by the Holy Spirit. Incredibly, the guards and correctional officers stood and heard them sing, "Jesus is my best friend. He will never let me go. Jesus is my best friend. He be with me wherever I go. Jesus is my best friend. When I need help, he be right at the door. Jesus is my best friend. He protects me from head to toe. Jesus is my best friend. He protects me from the evil all around the world," they sang as they clapped their hands.

But there was one song the guards did not like, "God is in the position of power tell that to everyone and say it louder. God tells the devil to don't kill, and that's what it gonna do. God is in control every second in a minute and every minute in an hour. God is on the throne, he the boss, he the one in the position of power," they sang. When Officer Rico got the news that John was preaching about Jesus in jail, he laughed at him, "Give me a break, you telling me that John Esteban, a gang leader, drug dealer, and who did enormous harm to our country is preaching! Come on! Who would even follow this man? He is a murderer on sight!" he said.

Later, news reporters were in jail to record John spreading the word of God. John was once again in the news, but this time for good reasons. The news reporter stood with her eyebrows raised and eyelids wide open, "As you can see, we have John, the most notorious man spreading the word of God in this jail! This is unbelievable! He got seen winning criminals to Jesus. The most unexpected person to preach about Jesus is doing so right now in this local jail. John is not only preaching the word of God, but he is telling the prisoners to don't follow the world."

After the president and her officials saw the news about John's popularity in jail, they all became enraged and immediately scheduled him to court.

John felt that it was time to escape jail. When no one was looking, John got the measuring tape and moved the bed forward to get behind it. He squatted down behind his bed and quietly but fast measured thirty inches wide horizontally and vertically at the bottom of the wall. John made a thirty-inch-wide circle with the measurement tape and placed it under his bed. Then, he moved the bed back and stomped on the toilet seat hard until it broke and fell to the ground.
