Chapter 5

The rest of the week passed by in a blur. Fortunately for Jimin, the staff was obviously trained well by Yoongi because they performed like a well-oiled machine. Nobody really needs any supervision. Cho was also very efficient in assisting him. In the end, Jimin only has to report to Yoongi that everyone is doing well and the mansion is in good hands.

The alpha must have been very satisfied with his performance because he was allowed to stay over at his parents' house during the weekend and now, he's in their garage picking a car he can drive to Jin's bakery.

Yoongi actually snorted when he chose the Porsche Camaro.

"What, hyung? It's very pretty. I bet it drives like a dream.", Jimin's eye twinkled when he was handed the keys.

"Just drive carefully.", the alpha reminded him.

"What if I totaled it? Are you going to spank me, hyung?", Jimin wondered out loud.

"I would be more concerned for your safety. Accidents happen. I'm not going to punish you for something you have no control over. However, if I find out that you're at fault, then I guarantee you that your ass will be on fire. So, don't even think about driving recklessly.", Yoongi answered seriously.

"Don't worry, hyung. I'm a good driver.", Jimin assured his husband. He then got in and excitedly drove to see his friend.

Okay, so Jimin really does not have a good sense of time, and now as he found out, direction. Even with the help of the car's GPS, it took him a while before he got home from the bakery. His heart sank when he looked at his watch and realized that it was already past 7 pm. Now, running towards their front door, he can only hope that his husband isn't home yet. But luck wasn't on his side because the first thing he saw once he stepped into the living room was his husband sitting on the sofa, calmly sipping a cup of coffee.

"Goo-good eveni-ning, hyung.", Jimin stammered out once he recovered from the initial shock.

"What time is it, omega?", the alpha asked, not even bothering to look up at Jimin.

"7:28 pm, hyung.", Jimin whispered. When Yoongi stayed silent, Jimin started to apologize but he got cutoff.

"7:28 pm. Remember that. Go and wash up and get ready for dinner. Don't make me wait for the second time today.", the older ordered. Jimin got the message loud and clear. He made sure that he's sitting on the dining table before 8:00 pm.

*

Dinner was painfully quiet. Several times, Jimin tried to apologize and explain, but he was shushed each time. When they were both done eating, Yoongi stood up and looked at Jimin straight in the eye.

"When you're ready, knock on my room. I sleep at 10:00 pm, so you'd better be outside my room before then. Understood?"

"Yes, alpha."

"Good, don't keep me waiting.", the alpha warned.

Jimin watched his husband leave the table, regretting all the choices he made that day. If he can only just travel back in time, he'll make sure to leave from the bakery early and refuse Seokjin's pleas for him to stay longer. And he would definitely study the fastest route from the mansion to the bakery and back. Hell, if he only knew the day would end up like this, he would not even think of leaving the house. But it's too late now.
