Chapter 8

"Can we cuddle, hyung?", the exhausted omega asked his alpha.

Yoongi was visibly surprised, totally unexpecting the question. It took the alpha a couple of seconds before what Jimin asked registered to his brain. Thankfully, before the omega can regret asking, Yoongi recovered from the initial shock and nodded.

"Yes, if that's what you need. But you have to stand up first and let me help you clean up."

Jimin groaned as he slowly pushed himself up, with Yoongi assisting him. Still sniffling, eyes blurry and puffy from tears, he felt the alpha wipe his face with soft tissue, even asking him to blow his nose. When the alpha must have deemed him clean enough, Yoongi guided him to the left side of the bed and let him lie on his front, brushing his hair away from his face gently.

"S'nice.", Jimin slurred the words, enjoying his alpha's attention.

"Jimin? Will you be okay on your own for a while? I'm just going to take a quick shower then I'll be back to cuddle with you."

The omega whined when the soft touches stopped but when he was assured of his alpha's quick return, he pouted but nodded his consent. In mere minutes, the alpha is back on the bed, hair still damp and, on his pajamas, smelling strongly of his body wash. Yoongi laid down and carefully maneuvered Jimin so that the omega is almost on top of him, head on his chest. The omega quickly latched onto him and wrapped his arms tightly around Yoongi, making the alpha stiffen for a moment.

It must have been uncomfortable for the alpha since he's not the affectionate type and this is the most that he's touched the omega but for Jimin, he was blissfully comfortable and enjoying the warmth of his alpha's body. Once Yoongi has gotten past the awkwardness, he began to focus on his omega's comfort, caressing Jimin's hair and rubbing his back.

"Do you feel better, omega?", Yoongi quietly asked when Jimin's sniffles was reduced to occasional hiccups.

"A bit. Thank you, hyung.", Jimin answered, eyes still closed.

"Are you still mad at me because I denied your proposal?"

"I'm not mad at you, hyung, but I'm sad. I'm sorry I raised my voice at you in front of the staff during our meal. As I said, I was just frustrated. I didn't mean to embarrass you by disrespecting you and accusing you of being too controlling. I already know that you won't approve, you already told me on our wedding day that I'm not allowed to work but still I hoped I'd be able to sway you. So, yeah...", Jimin sadly shared.

"Can you tell me now why you wanted to run your own home business without giving me an attitude?", Yoongi asked, making Jimin blush. He really needs to learn how to control his mouth. His father might have allowed a bit of sassiness and backtalk inside their home but obviously such behavior will not be tolerated by his husband.

"I'm sorry, I lied earlier. It is about the money. I know, being married to you, I'm set for life. But hyung, I still want my own money. I just want to be able to spend without thinking about how the money's not really mine and I didn't earn any of it; that I don't deserve any of it. Plus, what if I wanted to buy my parents and my friends presents? I don't think it's fair that you have to pay for those. And what if I wanted to buy you a present on your birthday? It would be weird to use the credit card you provided because you're the one paying for it in the end. So essentially, you bought yourself a present and it won't ever be a surprise.", Jimin softly argued, hoping that his alpha would understand.

"What makes you say that you don't deserve it, hm? My money is yours. What am I working so hard for? I do it so that I can provide you and my family a good life. You don't have to get me anything for any occasion but if you still insist then I assure you, I don't check your billing statements, so it will still be a surprise and I would appreciate it. And you can get your parents anything. I'd gladly pay for it. Just tell them it's from both of us so that you won't feel guilty that it came from my pocket. The same goes with your friends.", Yoongi's answer made Jimin pout.
