A/N: finally writing some Sigma content! This was inspired by a headcanon by Venti_Vented and basically it's that Sigma wouldn't be the type to admit he's sick and he'd just keep working. Sooooo ofc it inspired me to write something. Without further ado, enjoy!)

Sigma woke up bright and early one morning, ready for another day of running the Sky Casino.

...Or so he thought.

He admittedly didn't feel that great, but no matter! The casino wasn't going to run itself, so didn't that mean Sigma still had to perform his duties as manager?

Spoiler alert: yes, it did mean that.

That decided, Sigma got up, trying to ignore the sudden feeling of dizziness he got.

He sat down for a minute, hoping it would pass.

It didn't.

Because now he also had a headache.

This was fine.

Shaking it off, Sigma got up a few minutes later and continued to get ready to start the day.

Somehow, he managed to. This was good. Maybe it meant he'd survive the day.

The day that was already starting to feel long when he'd barely even started it.

No, no, this was fine. He could do this. He could successfully be the stressed manager that he was.

With that in mind, he promptly got to work. I can do this, he kept repeating to himself as needed.

At one point, an employee came up to Sigma, noticing that he didn't look too good. "Sir, are you ok?"

Sigma blinked. "Hm? Oh yes, of course! Thanks for your concern, but I'm fine."

The employee looked skeptical. "But you look sick."

"I'm not sick!"

"Are you sure about that?"

"Yes."

"Hmmm..." The employee still looked unconvinced but didn't argue further and just got back to work.

Sigma sighed in relief. Crisis averted.

He kept working and somehow managed to get a lot done. But he wasn't satisfied since it wasn't as much as he usually worked. Yes he was sick, but that was besides the point. He'd thought he could just push past it. Apparently not.

By the end of the day, Sigma had retreated to his desk. He tried to get a bit more done because if he didn't, then he'd feel like he was slacking. And he definitely didn't want to do that.

Before he could, however, he'd passed out.

Fyodor and Nikolai were on their way to go visit Sigma since this was around the time the Sky Casino closed for the night. They'd both tried to get a hold of their friend, but all their calls and texts went unanswered.

Truth be told, that worried them. It wasn't like Sigma to not answer the phone unless something was really wrong. With that in mind, the clown and rat began to run to the casino as fast as they could.

They burst in and looked around for Sigma. When they didn't find him, they asked around and when that didn't work, they marched into his office. They knew he didn't like people entering his office without permission, but they were too worried. If they got lectured later, so be it. Right now, all they cared about was making sure their friend was ok.

Fyodor and Nikolai paused when they noticed Sigma unconscious and leaning on his desk. They exchanged a worried glance.

"Siggy is deeeeeaaaaaaaddddd..." Nikolai mourned.
