Chapter 17 - From discussing to fighting

I was thinking about this whole situation. Roxana is a demon. She would be hard to get to talk with. Man, why me? Now I know why I shouldn't have gone here. Did my parents knew about this?

I have only heard that my greatgrandpa used to work here in the Administration and Special Projects Department.

I don't remember if it was Joey Drew Studios or if it was GENT Corporation. It doesn't matter now. I had a thing in my mind. Alice and Norman. What if I bring those two back to normal?

But I had to interview Benton and Bartholomew first. So I came up to them and started our conversation.

"Hey there! Could I have a small talk with you, guys?"

"Sure.", answered Benton.

Bartholomew only nodded at that.

"So, I wondered if you guys know something or two about Alice Angel and Norman Polk...or better known as the Projectionist. Anything could be useful."

"I met him. The Projectionist. Our first encounter wasn't so nice. But then he got attacked by Frederic and my friends came to me and took me out of there.", told me Bartholomew.

He fought for a moment and continued:

"They had a little conversation. I remember til today what they said. It was like that:

Norman, come on. Don't fight this power. Alice already became her better self. Now it's your turn.

Tell this new to Sammy. Susie was his love, remember? Besides. You only have to kill the dead versions of those and the regular selves are free. After Dead Angel will be dead, Alice will come back. Maybe she'll turn good after that.

There was a pause and then Norman continued, saying:

You'll never win, Frederic. You're going to fail and leave this place forever.

Frederic was a failure back then. I ain't him anymore. I'm...Master Dead Machine.

It helped me a lot. Now I know how to turn them back. I thanked them and ran up to the group. Every single member was there. I heard them discuss things.

"That insane Ink Demon is getting stronger. She lost her mind. She attacked us from her portal and killed many Lost Ones. I was scared.", said a Lost One with goggles.

I learned that his name was Porter. Since the incident, he became much more adult-like, but still having the child in him. Heidi, who was for Porter like a sister, was not talking much. She was already so scared, as well terrified of those things happening here.

"What do you expect us to do?", asked Sammy.

"We have to kill her. That's the only way.", said an unfamiliar Lost One.

We took him here because he knew various things and remembered his past. His name was Flynn Hadminger. He was, as he told us, working with both Nathan Arch and Alan Gray. He knew Joey only for a few years before he died.

How he turned into a Lost One? Nadai is the answer. She knew how Joey done it. For her test, she captured Flynn. As we heard the word kill, started Henry shouting at him.

"Are you crazy?! Roxana is not our enemy! She's good down there. I know that. We have to talk to her. She will listen if we don't attack her. e have to show her that we care."

"She won't listen to us, Henry. Besides, I think you lost your mind.", said Flynn.

"I didn't!", growled Henry at him.

Flynn only laughing, pointing at Henry. I wanted to do something, but I knew it wouldn't work. Flynn then asked him:

"Henry. Tell us then...why do you think showing her love and care would change her. She's a demon. Remember that. She won't listen to us."

"I know that 'cause...."

" 'Cause what, huh? What did you wanted to say?"

Henry snapped. He hit the table and stared at Flynn, telling him the answer he wanted.

" 'Cause she's for me like a daughter. I talked to her already."

Everyone was in shock. Henry was talking with Roxana the whole time in secret. He was taking care of her like a dad. Well, as we already know, Roxana and Bendy are like siblings. Henry is Bendy's dad, so it would make sense if he would be for a like a dad. Henry said:

"Roxana did the exact same thing towards the Ink Demon, towards Bendy, to show him that he isn't a mistake...neither a monster. She gave him the love and care he deserved. He did the same thing back to her.

As he apologized to me, I apologize as well. For not being there for him. But he understood that I didn't even knew his existence.

That's why, if we want her to be sane again, we have to give her the love and care she deserves. We have to be also honest with her.
No lies. Not even the smallest lie. Because that's the reason she even became insane in the first place. Because of Dimitri's lies."

We were still. Wow, to believe emotions can make the people insane. Unfortunately, Flynn didn't take it seriously and laughed him out. What a coward. He then slapped Henry's face and told him:

"You're dumb! You are a joke towards us, Henry! Love and care?! What the hell did you thought we are?"

"Flynn, stop! You're crossing the line!", shouted Allison.

Flynn took something out of his pocket. Flynn, so that we can recognize him, wears a war jacket. From the jacket's pocket, he took out a controller and raised it, so that everyone could see it. He laughed and said:

"See that, Henry? This controller will open the front door, letting all the bad guys enter this room. Not only that, it can also ban people from inside of the room. Where do they land? Well, they land in the most terrifying place ever built. The throne room, which can be found in the Ink Demon's lair. That's where you are gonna be sent."

"You're stupid Flynn.", suggested Sammy.

"And why is that, Samuel? You aren't any better. The Ink Demon's prophet. That's called stupidity."

"Well, if Henry is talking with the Ink Demon, as well as with Roxana, why should it be a terrifying place for him?"

"Hmmm. You're right, Samuel."

We were relieved. Henry would stay here. Flynn can't send him anywhere else. Unless...

"Come here, Henry.", told him Flynn.

He stood away from us, in the open space. Henry came to him, but as he did, Flynn punched him in the face with his fist. What the hell? Henry tried to fight back, but he was quickly knocked to the floor, luckily staying conscious.

From Flynn's jacket fell out the controller. I snatched it, clicking a random button. The front door opened. Oh no. What have I done? But to my surprise, all the bad guys were backing off. Why? It was then I noticed ink on the walls, floor and on the ceiling. Suddenly, the insane Ink Demon, Roxana, showed up. Flynn turned to me, yelling:

"CLICK THE SAME BUTTON! NOW, FREAK!"

He got too distracted. Roxana threw him into some stairs, next to the projector room. She looked down at Henry. She wasn't attacking him. Only staring. She showed him to get back to the others. She even helped him stand up. Then she changed the look from Henry to me.

"Stay alive until we meet again, (Y/N). Tomorrow, 9 a.m. at HeavenlyToys. Don't. be. late."
