Tara's POV

I woke up a few days later and saw my things packed, today was the day I was leaving. I saw Oli still sleeping. I hadn't seen Ethan, but I could swear he still said stuff a lot of the time. I decide to leave Oli a note since he is gonna sleep through me leaving. About fifteen minutes later Dr. Gillings comes and helps me with my things. I see my dad. I smiled as he picked me up and spun me around. I smiled timidly, I saw Meagan and Bronx, I hugged them both while Dad talked to Dr. Gillings. I felt relieved to be leaving. I was going to see Violet and everyone else.

"Ready Big Bird?" He asked.

"You know it!" I told him. We got into the car.

"Sissy, why were you there?" Bronx asked me.

"I was sick, but I'm getting better." I said.

"What type of sick?" He asked.

"The type that if we didn't treat it could hurt me, but don't you worry, I'm working on it." I told him. He smiled. Dad looked at me with kind eyes. I smiled, I was still sad, but I was gonna push through it.

"Some people are here to see you when we get home." Dad said. I nodded, I felt free again, I wondered what Oli was up to. I know he'l be fine. Eventually I dozed off into a dreamless sleep.

Violet's POV

We were all waiting for tara to get back, Neal and Zeke were chatting with Max, Kyle was chilling with me. Tara's Grandparents were here. They were pretty nice people. We heard the door open, there she stood, pale skin, green hazel eyes and dark hair. I smiled, tears in my eyes. She looked at me, eyes wide and ran up and kissed me. I kissed back it felt like a eternity of bliss, then Pete cleared his throat, I pulled back blushing.

"Sorry," I muttered.

"It's all good." He said, Tara giggled. Everyone hugged her and said hello, we ate dinner and made small talk. Later that night Tara and I climbed onto the roof.

"How was it?" I asked her.

"Not as bad as I thought, but I just feel stuck." She replied.

''I'm glad you're still here." I told her as I put my head on her shoulder.

"You're incredible." She whispered, I blushed.

"I'm nothing compared to you." I replied.

"You're everything to me." She said kissing me. I kissed her back. It felt right to be back with her. I just hoped I would get to keep her.

Tara's POV

Violet had to go home at some point, I saw my Dad in the bathroom. I said goodnight and went into my room. I put on a large metallica shirt and sleep shorts, I sat in bed, tossing and turning, I had forgotten my meds. I got up and went into my Dad's room, I slipped under his sheets, when he rolled over he opened his eyes in surprise.

"Hi Dada," I said.

"Hey Big Bird." He said smiling, but that faded quickly.

"Why aren't you asleep honey?" He asked, I looked down in shame.

"I forgot my meds, and I can't sleep without nightmares and stuff." I said, ashamed of myself. He pulled me in tightly.

"It's nothing to be ashamed of, you're a hell of a strong girl, and I'm so proud to call you my daughter. I don't want to every lose you, don't be ashamed of who you are." He said, I nodded curling into him.

"What did you see, actually tell me?" He asked.

"I'm the one who found James, I got his blood on my hands, literally." I told him, "I was so confused, I didn't understand what was going on." I told him.

"It's not your fault, you couldn't have stopped it, and he's recovering." My Dad told me.

"I know, I just can't help thinking about it." I told him. He nodded.

"I understand that, a lot of times I felt the world was collapsing over me." He explained. I nodded.

"I wish I could make all this pain go away." I told him.

"I know honey, oh I know." He said pulling me closer to his chest as sobs racked my body.

"It's never going to be simple is it?" I asked him.

"Nothing is," He replied. I nodded. We sat in silence for a while.

"Go to sleep." I told him.

"You go to sleep." He said. I just sat there for a while, eventually I managed to drift off to sleep.

~dream~

I was standing in the TV room back to the hospital, I looked up, and instead of seeing Jake hanging from the ceiling I saw Ethan with a grin on his face.

"Tara, when they kill me they kill you too, I'll be back, I'll destroy you." He said grinning, I shook my head, he couldn't be real. I knew he wasn't real, but he felt so real. I turned to leave and saw Jake standing there, bloody as the day I had found him.

"You just left me here, you're gone" He said.

"Jake, I had to go back home, to Dad, and Bronx and Violet!" I said. He just shook his head.

"There is no home for you, it went down the drain with your sanity." He said laughing. I curled into a ball and screamed and cried until I blacked out.

~dream end~

I woke up an hour later, tears staining my face, I wiped them off. I wanted nothing more than to cut the pain out of my life, but didn't have any blades, so I got up and watched netflix. I didn't really feel anything, which felt wrong. I was so confused. I just sat there for a while until the sun came up.

Things couldn't stay this way.
