Niragi's POV:
I walked through even more mirrors feeling on edge. I decided to take a small break. I sat on the floor and leaned against a mirror. I saw movement from the corner of my eye and decided to ignore. I couldn't take another game until I finally got some rest. Eventually, something about the movement was bothering me. It moved once and stopped. Now in a few minutes of me just sitting here it hadn't shown up again. I looked down the hallway to see a window. I got up and walked over to it. Chishiya was on the other side. One of his eyes was covered in a piece of fabric with blood showing through it, and he wasn't conscious. I froze in panic unsure what to do. I decided the only thing I could do was bang on the window to wake him up and hopefully break it in the process. I started banging on the window as hard as I could and yelled his name. He didn't wake up. I almost gave up. I didn't even know whether he was alive or not, but I kept banging on the window. Finally, I saw his eye blink open. He squinted as he slowly woke up. I banged on the window even more and he suddenly looked up at me. He came to the window not making eye contact. I assumed he couldn't see me. He put his hand on the glass and so did I. I could feel the warmth of his hand through the window until he took it off and started searching his pockets. He took out a pen and paper and wrote something on the back of it. He held it up against the glass. "I can't see you. Wait here, maybe I can find a window. Bang twice when you read this." My heart dropped as I read. I banged on the window twice and watched him walk away feeling worried he wouldn't come back. I followed him to another piece of paper that was laying on the ground. He picked it up and examined it. He looked up and seemed to think. It looked like there were two paths ahead of him. The one on the right of him was all I could see into. It was a large wooden bridge with a big hole in the middle. There were slivers of wood and nails sticking out, and only rock underneath. I didn't know what was on the other side, but I immediately thought he should pick the left one. He did not. He walked into the path on the right and approached the bridge. I felt my panic rise to my chest. He jumped. My heart dropped as he landed on the slivers of wood. "Fuck!" I yelled. He pulled himself up and layed on the floor. I pressed my face against the window trying to see if he was okay. He got up slowly and started walking to the next piece of paper. I watched as he went down the path on the right. He ran to the window and started banging on it. When I got to him he wrote on his piece of paper. "Do you see me?" I nodded. He started crying. We both put our foreheads against the window and stood there for a few minutes. We walked to next each other, looking over every once in a while to make sure we were both still there. Chishiya looked down at his wounds then looked up at me. I gave him a sad smile. I felt a breeze and looked ahead. I saw outside. Chishiya and I looked at each other and ran to the exit. When I got outside I was about to give him a hug and he stopped me. "Wait, wait, wait!!" He yelled. I stopped and took a step back. "Look" he said. I looked closely at the lasers between us. We looked at each other unsure what to do. "...there's gotta be some way for both of us to get out of here." I said with uncertainty. Chishiya walked further while I stayed back. After going a long distance he looked at me and shrugged. I ran up to him, being careful of the lasers. "Maybe we can go around" I suggested. We both started walking around the funhouse, but we were divided at the front as well. "Let's go to the exit of the fair" I said. We walked together all the way to the exit, but the lasers were still there. "Well this means one of us won't be able to get back to the Beach doesn't it? This can't go all the way through Borderland, otherwise so many people would be dying just because you and I played one game." Chishiya said. We looked at each other, both of us holding back tears. Chishiya put his hand up to his head and almost tripped over on nothing. "Are you okay?" I asked? "Yeah, I'm fine, my head just hurts." I stared at him. His face was pale and he seemed out of breath. "You should just sit down, I'm gonna go to the Beach and get you some food and water or something. Just stay here." I said while walking pit of the fair. Chishiya quietly groaned in disagreement, but didn't have the energy to argue. He sat down while I ran to the Beach to get help. I left the car and just kept running. When I got there the lasers had disappeared. I ran into the building and headed for the elevator. Before getting to my room I ran into Kuina. "Niragi! You're alive, Hatter said you and Chishiya went to the 9 of hearts game, did you get the card? Where's Chishiya?" "There's no time right now, I need food and water, and I need to run back to the game arena." I said quickly while opening the door of my room. Kuina followed me in and asked more questions. "What's going on? Is Chishiya okay?" "I don't know." I said. "Is he alive?" "Yes I think so" I said with a break in my voice. "Where is he?" "He's back at the arena, I need to go help him!" I said getting annoyed. "Is he hurt?! You're covered in blood and scars, what happened there?!" "I don't know okay?! He looks hurt to me, I don't know what happened, I don't know how long we were gone, I don't know if Chishiya is alive because the last time I saw him he was bleeding out and falling asleep in front of a fucking cursed funhouse!" I yelled. Kuina went silent, but kept following me. Eventually she went downstairs with no explanation. I went down after a few minutes and met her at the bottom of the elevator. She was holding a first-aid kit, a large bottle of water, and a little yellow bag of cookies. "Oh" I said, surprised. I started running back to the fair holding packaged food I saved in my room. Kuina ran with me. We remainrd silent on the way there. When we got there the lasers were gone. Chishiya was laying on the ground with his eyes closed. My heart dropped once again as I got down on the ground to check that he was alive. He was breathing. "Chishiya!" I yelled. I shook him a bit and tried to wake him up. When he wouldn't wake up I was about to open the first-aid kid and help him, but then I remembered one of the rules. "Wait. The announcer said, if a players attempts to help the other player at the end of the game, they'll be eliminated. I can't help him." I said. Kuina looked at me, then looked at Chishiya. She sighed. "Okay, I don't know exactly what I'm doing, but I'll try to help. What if getting me and getting him food counts as you helping?" She suggested. "I guess if I'm eliminated, then I'm eliminated...he's worth dying for." Kuina gave me a look. She looked both surprised and judgemental. I ignored. She fixed what injuries she could. She took off the fabric eye patch Chishiya made. His eye was covered in blood and a piece of glass was stuck in his eyelid. I remembered the sound of shattered glass after I saw him shooting at that mirror in the funhouse. With a disgusted look, Kuina used tweezers from the first-aid kit to grab the piece of glass. "Think this is gonna make me pass out" she said trying not to look away. "I guess one of the mirrors in the mirror maze shattered. Looks like piece went through his fucking eyelid and stabbed his eye. No wonder his head hurt." I said. Kuina used two bandages as an eye patch and tied them at the back of his head. We waited for a few minutes. Kuina started doing what she could to help me. She used bandage to actually fix my arm instead of let it just hang, and then I put my makeshift sling on anyways. I looked over at Chishiya every once in a while to make sure he was still breathing. Finally he woke up. He opened his eye and put his hand up to his other eye noticing the new bandage. He sat up and looked at me. I hugged him and he hugged me back. We sat there for a few minutes until Kuina broke the mood. "Uhmm, it's the third wheel here! We should leave." Chishiya and I both gave her a look and we all got up. We got in the car that we left. Kuina drove while Chishiya and I sat in the back. "Hey" I said, looking down at Chishiya, who was leaning on my shoulder. He looked up at me. "I probably should've told you this before the game, but I think I love you." I said starting to cry a bit.
