Niragi's POV:
Hatter called the executives in for a meeting. I sat across from Chishiya slightly glancing at him then looking away. Chishiya waved at the new guy with a little smile. I glared at both of them. "We have the two of spades, six of spades, four of diamonds, and the
two of clubs" Mira said putting the cards down on the table. "So far, the existence of any face cards has not been confirmed" she said as she sat down. "If there are no face cards, then only the ten of hearts remains" Kuzuryu said. "If the Ten of Hearts hasn't appeared yet, then maybe there's a reason for it. Perhaps it's not in Tokyo." "No game arena has been found outside the 23 districts." Kuzuryu explained. "That only means we haven't searched far enough." "We're not changing the plan," Hatter yelled. "The search for the other
game arenas in Tokyo will continue
Keep an eye on visa expirations. Let's
wait for the ten of hearts to show up.
My visa needs to be reissued soon" he
said as everyone looked at eachother. Chishiya and I made eye contact and we both quickly looked away. "There is a way to earn a visa." Mira said. "Oh?" Said Hatter. "A Hearts game is a
game that plays with people's minds
and emotions. We use a decoy we
know will die and fix the game so that
you survive. Arisu cleared the seven of hearts game. If he can do it then anyone can..." She said smiling. "Arisu you cleared the seven of hearts, can you give us any advice?" Hatter laughed. I sighed. I just wanted to leave this fucking meeting. "There's no way to predict when a hearts game will appear. Don't forget we only find out what the game is after registration closes" Ann said. "Yes, but the theory of probability should help us determine the arena." Hatter slammed the table and whispered. "I don't need pretentious theories. I will participate in the next game," he said standing up. "I don't care if it's a heart or a spade game. I can clear them all, and I'll be there when the ten of hearts appears. The cards are on the table. Our day of departure is near! Executives, you're in charge while I'm away" he said turning around. "Meeting adjourned!" I walked out of the room, shoving my shoulder against Arisu. That night I fell asleep thinking about Chishiya. Something felt off. I wondered if I should've gone to check on him. "Maybe I'll just take a quick walk" I said to myself. I walked through the hallway silently. I was about to walk passed Chishiya's door when I stopped. "What the fuck am I doing?" I started walking back to my room. I thought I heard him as I walked away and I worried. No. Chishiya doesn't cry. I thought as I kept walking.

Chishiya's POV:
I woke up in the afternoon feeling incredibly tired. I heard a knock on the door so I got my sweater and my shorts on and answered. It was Kuina. "Hey. Thought you could use a walk? You don't usually sleep in this late." I sighed. "Alright" I said slowly following her out of the room. We circled the Beach in silence. We didn't say anything, we just thought. I don't like people very much, but that's honestly my favourite way to spend time with them. Leaving each other to our own thoughts with no judgement. Eventually we sat down on a ledge and noticed Arisu investigating the pile of dead traitors. I chuckled. "...should we go talk to him?" Kuina asked. I nodded and we walked down to him. He gagged at the smell of the dead bodies. "Thats what this utopia really looks like" I said as he looked up at me. "Another Beach rule. Death if you're a traitor." We went to the roof of the building and I decided I'd try to get some information from him. I wanted to see if knew anything I didn't. "How do you think you're going to live in a world full of despair?" I asked him. He looked at Kuina and me confused. "Look, all I want is some answers" he said. "Who's behind these sick games, and who killed my friends Karube and Chota. I thought I'd be able to survive and go back to the world the way it used to be...but if that's not possible I want Usagi to return at the very least. She's the only reason I'm alive." I chuckled. "Very touching" I said. "This wish of yours...sure is nice. But not very practical." Kuina laughed "you'd have to win every single game coming up and become the next Number 1...impossible" Kuina explained. "Look, it's not about you guys, all right?" "We think you both have potential" I told him. "That's why we're here right now." "What do you mean?" Just take a hint dude, we've got a fucking plan I thought. I rolled my eyes and turned to look at him. "What would you say if I told you things could play out differently?" He looked at me with hope in his eyes. So stupid. My plan was set in place. Soon I would finally leave this place and I could forget all about Niragi. I'd show him my plan would work and he'd be left here wishing he went along with it.
