The estate looked dangerously calm, even though it was still six in the evening. Estate was not a place to freely wander about. With the trees all around and unkept empty plots, they became the permanent abode for snakes. So people tend to reach the quarters before it was dark.

a small temple dedicated to the god of obstruction destroyer, lord Ganesha, was decorated with oil lamps, making the temple's presence in a huge mango garden. The Vashisth ansectors were the ones who built it and appointed the priest, for looking after the temple and the rituals regarding the deity. Likewise the Vashisth estate was handed down to heirs, the temple's duties were taken by the next generation of the priest's family. The temple generally was not too crowded, even though there were no restrictions. Temple being in the midst the mango garden and that too near Adhiraaj's mansion people tend to avoid going there frequently.

At present three females were standing there paying reverence to the god.they were none other than Shyamla, Lakshmi and Ankita. Shyamla was distressed and wanted to get some peace, so visiting a temple could get her peace. Moreover Ankita's nagging for not going out of the quarters, this seemed to be a little get away for her also. After the little incident on Holi, Ankita thought  it was a bad idea wandering about, but not able to contain herself in one place, she tried sneak into the party that day night only to get caught by Ved. Ved was very much pissed off with Ankita that night for not taking anything seriously. So not wanting to make the situation worse, Ankita left the quarters only when Shyamla was with her.

"Long time no see, Kittu?" , the priest asked her handing the plate containing the pooja items to Shyamla.

"You know the reason, Panditji", Shyamla butted in, getting a simple nod from him. Everyone knew the reason why the girls stopped coming to this part of the estate.

Giving a cheeky grin, Ankita held out her two palms in order to get more prasaad (food offering to god). It was her favourite and moreover it was tasty. The priest just smiled at her, pinching her cheek, he laid out his hand full of laddoos to her, but stopped in the middle as if he saw something interesting on her hands. He kept the laddoos back inside the container, which he kept aside making her pout. Ignoring her pouting he pulled her left hand, he started caressing her left palm's lines as if he found something curious.

"Have you by chance have the girl's horoscope made, shyamlaji?" The priest asked still staring at lines in her left palm.

"No, that time we thought it was not necessary", Shyamla paused at looked at the priest, who was keenly looking at Ankita's palm. "What happened  Panditji? Is it anything bad?" Shyamla questioned as her curiosity spiked.

"Nothing to worry. Just the lines on Kittu's palm are interesting and I have never seen such lines on anyone's palm." The priest replied with grin on his face.

"What do you see, Panditji", "just sit down Shyamlaji, I will tell you in detail". All of the four sat, curious to know Ankita's fate.

Adhiraaj suddenly jolted in his sleep. The same eyes started haunting in his dream, from the day he encountered her. She was some mystery to him. After a whole night of work, Adhiraaj was taking a small nap in his study. But whenever he closes his eyes, he sees that beautiful marble eyes staring at him with full of unknown emotions.

He wanted to forget everything about the encounter because she was a mere distraction. Moreover she was from the quarters, a forbidden fruit for him. but that eyes kept him remembering her.  Even though he kept himself busy in running business, and constant fucking the whores. But these did not help me to forget her enchanting eyes.

He had many queries regarding the girl. What was the girl doing in Ved's balcony and moreover why was she calling him bhaiya? As far he knew Ved, he didn't have any living relative. Also the girl's resemblance was matching to Shyamla during her teenage days, the time she came to the estate. But Shyamla told him that her niece also died along with her parents. He wanted to find out the truth, but neither from Ved nor Shyamla.
