005, "A Mysterious Spy."

- Reader's POV -

Leaning against the wall with her arms crossed, Haerin stares up at the ceiling before looking at the human girl in front of her. "Arent you going to feed me? You usually feed me at 7am every morning before going to school, but it's been 2 hours already." Haerin lets out an exaggerated sigh, realizing that Danielle wasn't even paying attention to her.

"Oh, the agony! The torture of an empty stomach!" Haerin dramatically clutches her belly to get the older girls attention, giving Danielle an imploring look. Danielle finally turns her gaze towards Haerin, "I ran out, Besides, it's the weekend, remember? No school today."

Haerin's fluffy cat ears lower and she pouts, "Does that mean I'm starving for today?" Danielle rolls her eyes at the word 'starve' and gets up moving towards the kitchen counter with her bowl of cereal. "Okay, what do you want anyways?" The older girl raises an eyebrow. "Oh, a plate full of tuna would sound meowlicious!"

Danielle chuckles slightly at Haerin's enthusiasm for tuna. "Well, I don't have a plate full of tuna lying around, but I can make you a tuna sandwich. How does that sound?" Haerin's face lights up with excitement, her tail swishing back and forth.

"A tuna sandwich? That sounds absolutely purrfect! Can you put some extra tuna and maybe a sprinkle of catnip on it too?"

Danielle shakes her head in amusement. "I don't think catnip is meant for human consumption, Cookie- I mean Haerin but I'll make sure to load your sandwich with plenty of delicious tuna."

"Okay!" Haerin feels a rush of adrenaline course through her veins at the mention of tuna and patiently waits with her orangish tail moving back and forth. "You're so greedy for tuna." Finally, Danielle places the completed sandwich on a plate and presents it to Haerin. "Wow, that looks absolutely meowlicious!"

Haerin doesn't even hesitate a second, and grabs the sandwich before digging into it. "You're acting like I haven't fed you in months! I literally fed you yesterday 4 times!" Danielle exclaims. Haerin shrugs not listening to what Danielle is saying.

The older girl is still confused as to why her orange cat suddenly turned into this annoying and utterly weird teenage girl who doesn't talk much and is very calm.. Most of the time. As Haerin enjoys her sandwich, her feline senses suddenly perk up.

She hears a faint sound coming from outside the window, a rustling in the bushes. Her ears twitch, and her eyes widen with concern. Almost immediately, her playful demeanor changes, and she leaps into action. Without thinking twice, she rushes towards Danielle and wraps her arms tightly around the older human girl, pulling her into a protective embrace.

Danielle, caught off guard by Haerin's sudden movement, stumbles slightly and finds herself pressed against Haerin's chest. She blushes, feeling a mix of flustered confusion and even amusement at the cat-girl's overprotective reaction.

"W-What's going on, Haerin?" Danielle stammers, her cheeks turning a shade of pink.

"I sensed a potential threat. There's something lurking in the bushes, and I won't let it harm you!" Haerin declares with a mouth full of tuna sandwich, her cat-like eyes scanning the surroundings for any potential signs of danger.

Danielle glances at the window, trying to see if she can spot anything suspicious. "Haerin, it's probably just a squirrel or a bird. You don't have to worry so much." Haerin's grip on Danielle tightens, and she looks at her with determination in her eyes.

"I don't think it's a squirrel or a bird. I sense a strong perfurmey fragrance near by it smells like...!" Haerin's eyes widened once more, the bush rustling again and she instinctively looked towards the window and opened it looking around. And she was right, it was not a squirrel or a bird. But a human girl!

"Ha! Why are you sneaking around my owner's property you sneaky little spy?" Haerin's voice carries a mix of annoyance and surprise as she confronts the mysterious girl hiding in the bushes. The girl freezes in her tracks, her eyes widening with a mix of guilt and surprise. Danielle furrows her eyebrows confused.

"Danielle is that you!? I'm kind of stuck here! Could you help me out?" The girl shouts, ignoring Haerin's claims as she's behind the bush. Danielle's eyes widen as recognition dawns on her. She takes a step closer to the window, her voice filled with disbelief. "Minji? Is that you?"

Haerin has no idea who this Minji girl is but feels somewhat annoyed that she was there this entire time spying on them. "Minji! What are you doing stuck in the bushes?" Danielle asks, her voice filled with laughter at her friends odd situation.

Minji's face turns bright red, a sheepish smile spreading across her lips. "Well, you see... I was trying to spy on you, but I tripped and got myself tangled in this ridiculous situation. But at least I've caught some juicy stuff." Haerin shrugs, "Well, that's a very idiotic way of finding out 'juicy' stuff."

Danielle reaches out and pulls Minji free from the bushes. "Be more careful next time, Minji. Spying on your friends isn't exactly the best idea," Danielle advises, her amusement evident in her voice. Minji dusts off her clothes, a mixture of embarrassment and amusement on her face. "I've learned my lesson. No more secret spy missions for me."

"But.. Who is this girl and why does she look so weird? And where's Cookie? I want to see her! Danielle don't tell me she's your..." Minji covers her mouth in shock, "What! No! She's... She's uh.. Minji, promise not to freak out. But, this is Haerin and she uh.. Is Cookie. So basically Cookie turned into this human girl. I'm not crazy okay?"

Minji's eyes widen in disbelief as she stares at Haerin, who is now a human girl. She blinks a few times, trying to process the information. "Wait, you're telling me that Cookie, the adorable orange kitty, turned into this human girl named Haerin? Am I in some kind of alternate reality?" Minji gapes.

Haerin nods, her cat ears perking up on top of her head. "Believe it or not, it's true." Minju continues to cover her mouth, "Ha! No way! Cookie turned into a human? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard!" She doubles over, clutching her stomach as she continues to laugh uncontrollably.

Haerin crosses her arms, a pout forming on her face. "Hey, it's not funny! I didn't ask for this transformation, you know." She huffs, feigning offense at Minji's reaction. "Well, I've always been like this.. But I didn't mean for it to happen in front of a human!"

"Minji! It's true I'm telling you! I woke up today and Cookie turned into this girl!" Danielle pouts. "Okay okay, I believe you. But don't you think it's kind of creepy that the cat you were cuddling and kissing is this girl.." Danielle blushes at the realization. "I- I didn't kiss Cookie!"

"Sorry to break it to you, Danielle. But yes you did! Everyday! I remember you even kissing me on the nose!" Haerin frowns. "Okay, okay, I admit it! I might have given Cookie a few kisses on the nose. But come on, she was just so adorable!" she confesses, her cheeks turning a deeper shade of red.

"I know I'm adorable and I still am."
