"Guys, I think I might have feelings for someone."
Hyujin dropped his jaw and stared at Minho, not fully comprehending what he had said. Changbin smirked and patted him on the back. Chan just smiled knowingly.
"Well, are you going to say something, or are you just going to stare?"
The boys were enjoying some extra free time at the end of their class. [A/n: This is the class that they went to right after lunch.] Hyunjin was sitting comfortably on top of his desk despite being scolded by the teacher multiple times for it. Chan, Changbin, and Minho were sitting at their desks around him.
"Sorry, sorry," Chan apologized, still smiling. "It's just, we never hear you say stuff like that."
"Yeah, well, it's new for me too." Minho tilted his head to the ceiling. He felt off. He didn't dislike it, but he also didn't like when things changed.
"So, when are we going to meet this guy, " Changbin inquired.
"I don't know if he would want to meet you guys," Minho admitted. Jisung wasn't exactly the social type, plus he didn't like 'popular people.' Although Minho's friends weren't exactly popular, they were just likable. But the stereotype had already been planted in Jisung's head, so that caused problems.
Hyunjin pulled Minho out of his thoughts. "Why would he not want to meet us? Is he scared, or something?"
Minho squinted his eyes as he thought. "No, it's just- I don't know. He thinks we're those 'popular assholes.' His words, not mine." He raised his hands defensively.
Hyunjin dramatically opened his mouth. "What?! Absolutely not, we are clearing that bs up a.s.a.p! When can we meet him?"
"My place is always open," Chan offered, raising his hand.
"Look, I'll ask him, but no promises. I don't want to force him to be in a situation that would make him uncomfortable," Minho replied.
The others nodded, agreeing with the statement.
The bell finally rang and the group said their goodbyes and headed toward their next classes.
After school, Minho ran to catch Jisung on his way out of the building. Did he have the boy's number and address? Yes, but he wanted to see him at that very moment.
Minho caught a glimpse of Han as he walked out the front of the school, but he was stuck behind a crowd of students all trying to exit the building at the same time. So, he decided to be an asshole and push his way through the mob. There were many complaints and groans as Minho made his way, but he didn't care, he just wanted to see Jisung.
He broke through the crowd at last and sprinted towards the parking lot. Thankfully, he caught Han talking to Felix, Changbin's boyfriend, outside the school.
"HEY- *huff* JISUNG," Minho said breathlessly. As soon as he reached them he bent over.
Han and Felix watched him struggle to catch his breath with concerned faces.
"Um, are you okay, Minho, " Jisung asked.
"Yeah yeah, sorry, I just- wanted to catch you before you left." He had forgotten that the whole point of his catching Jisung was to ask him if he was free for a hangout with Minho's friends. He just saw him and his mind went blank.
"Did you need something," Jisung finally asked, ignoring the growing blush on his cheeks. He was flustered by the fact that Minho went through so much effort just to see him.
"No, not really...," Minho admitted, "I was just wondering if you were busy? Like right now?"
Felix gave Minho an amused look. He had never seen him act in such a way.
"Sorry, I've gotta go. I'll leave you two lovebirds alone," Felix said while smirking and walking away.
Dammit, Felix, Minho thought, shooting him a glare.
Jisung's face became even more heated at the comment. He refused to make eye contact with Minho as he asked, "So, what do you wanna do?"
Minho smiled at his cuteness.
"Um, well, I would suggest a cafe or something but I'm broke af sooo-"
"We could go to my house," Jisung blurted out. He fiddled with the edge of his uniform jacket, rubbing it soothingly.
"Are you sure? I wouldn't want to impose, especially if that's a safe place for you."
"No no, I don't mind, although you might have to wait outside for a minute because my room is not clean."
Minho just laughed, "Okay, I don't mind waiting."
The two began making their way toward Jisung's house. Minho started memorizing the directions so that he would know for future visits; he one hundred percent planned on spending more time with this boy.
"Oh, by the way, my parents won't be home. Their jobs keep them traveling a lot. I think they're in Malaysia right now," Han said while tapping his finger on his lips, trying to remember.
"Wait, so you live by yourself?" Minho's concern showed clearly on his face.
Being alone at home and school must feel awful.
"Yeah," Han responded, "But I'm fine. I kind of like it. It's so nice and quiet, unlike school.
Oh! And I can do whatever I want without being questioned, like blast music in my room." Minho noticed how Han smiled at some private memory. He couldn't help but grin at the thought of Han dancing around in his room, screaming his head off to whatever music he liked.
Wait.
"What kind of music do you listen to," Minho asked.
Han stopped walking for a moment, staring off into the distance. He wasn't entirely sure what to say. His music taste changed so often that he couldn't just name a genre.
Minho stopped with him, staring at the spot where Han had his eyes set. He was worried he had seen something or someone.
"You okay?"
Han snapped out of it, slightly embarrassed by how the simple question had thrown him off so badly.
"Sorry, I was thinking about it. Um, I don't exactly have a specific taste in music. It changes all the time," he finally answered.
Minho breathed a sigh of relief.
They kept walking, finally stopping in front of a beige, two-story house with maroon shutters.
"Welcome to my abode."
