"How could you do this to me?" I whisper feeling faint from the emotions swirling around my head.
"Do you know what you've done? Did you even once think about me in this whole thing?" As my voice becomes louder, so do my emotions as they begin to take over.
I get closer to the man in front of me, pointing my finger into his chest.
"I hate you! I hate you with every fiber in my being! I...I..." I stutter, rage coursing through my body as it bubbles to the surface ready to explode.
I try to finish but see a flash of light in front of my eyes making me jump back in shock and pain. The man in front of me falls backwards to the floor grasping for air. I look down to him seeing his shirt burnt and him gripping it in pain. What is happening?
"What are you?" He whispers, fear in his eyes as he tries to back away from me.
"I...I...what happened?" I say edging away from him.
"You...you...you're a monster." He states clearly, backing away from me.
Once I realise the reason he's clutching his chest I get closer to him seeing the huge burn deep in his skin.
"Get away from me." He yells still trying to get as far back as he can.
"Stop moving you're going to hurt yourself." I shout not realising how much rage was still inside me.
His face drops and he freezes in place.
"I...I'm sorry let me call an ambulance."
"You've done enough." He spits.
"What I've done is nothing compared to what you just did to me." I say through gritted teeth, tears threatening to fall.
I'm really trying to calm my anger but it won't stop. It just keeps growing. A fire inside me that won't go out. I feel it burning me from the inside and I curse in pain falling to my knees not fully understanding that the more I feed it the worse it gets. I close my eyes and scream out in pain.
A sudden wave of power washes over me and my eyes shoot open. I notice my body completely covered in flames. I scramble to my feet desperately trying to get them off and slowly realise they're not burning me. I look to the man at my feet and he stares in complete and utter fear at what I can only assume is what he meant by me being a monster.
"I'm glad I did it. You deserve everything coming to you, freak." He squeezes out in his shallow breaths as he stares me straight in the eye not once breaking the contact.
I feel the rage build in me again and before I can even reply, my body takes over and I feel everything go up in flames. I trudge through the flames unharmed until I reach the door and walk outside to see the pitch black country roads in front of me. The only sounds come from the flames roaring behind me.
I look down at my hands seeing the flames encircling me, but they don't look angry, they look calm as though they are supposed to be there. A sense of relief passes over me, but once the flames die down a weight drops in my stomach and I turn to watch my home burn down. Every window shattered, everything surrounding it now catching on fire. Tears well in my eyes as shock and horror begin to overtake my body. I drop to my knees once more letting the tears fall wondering how the hell I got to this moment. What have I done?
~~A/N~~Hi and thanks so much for reading. The first few chapters are quite short so I can introduce different characters separately and you can get to know them all a little. We meet our first member in the next chapter and hopefully you'll get a bit more of an understanding of Grey's power.
