song: twenty one pilots- ride
After the unexpected and rather awkward moment in the bathroom, I practically ran away without a word. Except that didn't seem to be enough of a hint when I left my room after getting dressed and found Jimin leaning against the back of the sofa waiting for me. He was smiling and holding out his hand for me to take. I was so confused I just took it and we left walking in silence to class.
"See you later love." He smiles leaving a kiss on my cheek.
I freeze unsure about how I should be feeling about all this. Jimin however walks off with his hands in his pockets and his head held high. Someone's confident in himself. Me on the other hand? Not so much. I find myself even looking around me to check nobody saw us. How can I explain this to someone else when I don't even understand it myself?
I walk in to class being waved over by a smiling Hoseok sitting beside Namjoon. I take a seat behind them and they turn to talk to me waiting for the tutor to arrive.
"Sorry for kicking off in front of Jin yesterday." I say sighing.
"We get why you did it, you don't have to apologise. Although Jin might appreciate some sort of apology if you can manage it. He really is trying to help Grey." Namjoon assures me.
"I know that now. I guess I'm more of an emotional person with this elemental thing, but it's just been so hard the past couple of days. I'm so confused about everything."
"Try not to worry. Everything will sort itself out. Do you think we had it easy when we arrived? We've all been here a lot longer than you, you have to understand that."
"I know, I really need to focus on getting in control and maybe I'll be less confused about everything and finally be able to think straight."
"Use todays classes to learn something. Actually take something away from it and try and practice when you get back to your room."
"Yeah I'll try."
Speaking of, what is going to happen when I go back to my room? I don't even know what's going to happen at lunch. Jimin has me thinking about things I wasn't thinking about before. Ugh Grey focus. Class is more important right now.
Once the teacher arrives, I focus all the attention I can muster for the class as we learn mental techniques to improve concentration and controlling thoughts. Well this is a fitting class.
After a couple of practical exercises, I start to understand my mind a little more and how my power works. As class finishes, the two boys follow me out the door heading off to their own classes as I try my best to find mine. I'm alone in this class unfortunately, but at least that'll make it easier to concentrate.
