I look around me curious as to the other people here. After Jimin told me everyone here has some sort of power, it made me wonder what they are. I don't even really know what mine is. I sure as hell know it's connected to my emotions, but aside from that it could be anything.
"Are you new?" I hear a quiet voice say to me.
I look up seeing a smiling boy sitting down in front of me.
"Yeah, I'm Grey." I say with a slight smile.
I'm so tired from everything the last couple of days I can't even force a smile anymore.
"I'm Hoseok. Do you mind if I sit here?" He smiles widely tucking in to his food.
I shake my head in response picking at my food.
"I missed the bell, but I'm starving so sorry for eating so rudely in front of you, but I need my strength for class after lunch."
"Oh that's okay." I mutter thinking to myself.
I can't hold it any longer I'm too curious about this place.
"Hoseok do you have some sort of power? Does everyone? Do you know why I'm here? How did anyone even know to bring me here?"
He looks up at me and stops eating. He sighs laughing slightly.
"I guess I'm missing class after lunch."
I guess that's a sign he's going to tell me. Thank god. Answers. Finally.
Once we finish our food, Hoseok leads me outside to a courtyard with little enclosed benches throughout. He sits on one side and I sit on the other thankful to finally be outside in fresh air.
"Won't you get told off for skipping class?" I ask him wary that he's putting himself in danger by skipping class. I mean if they have locks on doors around here, I'd say it's not really a normal school.
"As long as no one sees us out here, we should be fine."
"Are you sure? I don't want-"
"Grey it's fine. You should know what's going on. It's not fair to keep you in the dark."
I smile at him thinking simply that he's being genuinely nice to me. He's the first person to be genuinely nice to me. Yeah I guess Jin was, but I feel like he was just being polite. There's something off about that guy.
"First of all though, tell me how you awoke your power and what it is and I should be able to get a better sense of what you need to know."
"Well I don't really know. Jin told me my emotions control it."
"Okay well lots of powers are ruled by emotions. Did a certain emotion trigger something in you?"
"Well two nights ago I had an argument and I was so angry. I think I burned my house down." I say quietly remembering the flames encircling my hands as if they were a part of me.
