Jungkook wakes up with a smile on his face. He feels good for once. He stretches his body out and reaches an arm out to grasp onto the girl beside him but lands on nothing. Feeling around the bedsheets confused, he opens his eyes and scans the room. It's empty.
But this is Grey's room. Where would she have gone?
Panic settles in his stomach as he thinks the worst. He worries he forced her into it. It was all too soon. She wasn't ready.
With negative thoughts circling his head, he rushes out of bed only finding his sweatpants on the floor. Sighing to himself, he puts them on and leaves Grey's room shirtless. He rubs a hand over his chest and looks around the dorm finding it empty too. He has no idea what time it even is.
Desperately trying to stop the thoughts going around his head, he grabs a glass of water from the kitchen and leans his elbows on the island casually sipping from the glass. He then hears sound coming from one of the rooms in front of him.
The middle of the three doors opens and a relieved sigh leaves him. He smiles watching his favourite person approach him hesitantly. No wonder he couldn't find his shirt.
"I was looking for that." He points down to the tshirt Grey's wearing.
She looks down with him, a slight blush covering her cheeks, "I think you look better without it."
"I could say the same for you." He grins.
She copies his stance leaning her elbows on the island facing him. He stares at her for a minute before deciding to speak what's on his mind.
"You know, I thought you'd left when I woke up." He chuckles slightly trying to lighten the mood of the conversation.
Her smile fades and she looks down to her hands awkwardly fiddling with her fingers, "I would never leave you Kook. I know I've been a little distant, but I'm not afraid anymore. I believe you."
Jungkook reaches out and grabs onto Grey's hands intertwining his fingers with hers, "I'm sorry I made you think I didn't love you, but I do. I always have and that won't change."
She looks up at him with tears in her eyes and smiles, "I love you too Kook."
He reaches over the small island kissing her gently. His lips move so softly against hers, you would think he was afraid of breaking her. In some ways he is though. His life is good again even if it wasn't what it was before and he doesn't want to ruin it. Ruin her.
When they pull away, they keep their hands intertwined as they look into each other's golden speckled eyes. Grey looks away biting into her bottom lip to stop the massive grin from erupting on her face. She's so happy she can finally see those little sparkles again.
