As Harry steps outside, the chilly breeze blowing his curly hair ever so slightly but Louis of course notices such a thing, he notices the way Harry's eyes look from Lea to Louis, his eyes holding something like curiosity.
Louis notices the way that Harry's eyes linger a moment longer on Louis as the blue eyed lads hand lets go of Lea's smaller one.
"Hey, Niall's asking for you." Harry says looking at Lea.
"Is that so, well I best go see what the Irish princess wants."
Lea jokingly rolls her eyes in mock annoyance as she gets up, Harry's lips quirking up in a small smile as he nods.Louis reaches for his pack of cigarettes on the table and gets one out of the pack putting it between his lips, shortly after lighting it, smoke once gain filling his lungs as he takes a drag, staring at the city lights shining like some distant stars.
A warm hand is placed on Louis shoulder- giving him a little startle as he looks up at the hands owner as for once again blue eyes to meet green ones.
"Lighter?" Is all that Harry says a cigarette between his own pink lips.
"Oh, uhm," Louis grabs his lighter, "Yeah..."
Harry puts his hands around his cigarette so the wind doesn't blow off the small fire of the lighter.
Louis lights up the Curly haired lads cigar and shortly after backs away, his eyes fixated straight ahead and just from the corner of his eye he can see Harry take a few steps forward his hands in the pocket of his black trousers.
He raises one hand to take the cigar from between his lips as he takes in a breathe as if he is about to say something.
"You know..." he starts of slowly, his baritone voice doing things to Louis. "For someone who made it clear that he wanted nothing to do with me, you love watching me."Ok, what? "Excuse me?"
"You're excused." Harry says his lips tugging up in a small smirk.
"I do not watch you." Louis scoffs, his eyes narrowing.
"I don't like lying, don't lie." Harry mutters as he glances at Louis taking another drag from his cigarette- Harry's words making Louis glares at him.
The blue eyed lad hating Harry's choice of stating that sentence- as if it's a fact that he has to do something however the Curly haired one prefers."And I don't like you, I don't see you disappearing now do I?"
"So you're not denying it, you do watch me." Harry's smirk becoming taunting.
"No i do not, wherever you got that idea from." Louis denies the obvious truth as if Harry is the one making all this shit up.
" And that makes me the delusional one?"
"Obviously you are the delusional one."
Harry turns around, now facing Louis.
"Mmm... I don't think so, Louis Tomlinson. Do you want me to give you my offer agai-"
"What offer exactly?" Louis raises an eyebrow, "the one where I am to be treated like a little toy for you, that offer?"
"If that's how you like to think of it then yeah, that offer."
Louis chuckles humorlessly, "Good one mate but no, I respect myself enough to not accept your offer." Louis gives him a tight lipped smile.
"Funny..." Harry says taking another drag from his cigarette, blowing the smoke out of his mouth. "Haven't seen you do that quite often, don't you think so?" He says his eyes cold and yet they never look away from Louis' blue ones as he crushes his cigarette into the ashtray.
And just like that he's gone, as if he was never herein the first place, a sinking feeling setting into Louis stomach as Harry's words keep on repeating over and over in Louis head.
The blue eyed lad stays still as he realizes what the other man was implying; All the times that Louis has let
himself be tossed around by people, the way that he just let others do how they pleased- teated like he wasn't worth more than nothing.Of course Harry's words weren't a taste of the reality that he hadn't seen yet, Louis knows well enough the way that he has been treated and the way that he has done anything but respected himself before.
He's well aware of every little decision he has ever taken in his life- let it be a good decision or a bad one, he has always been very well aware of everything.
No- that doesn't mean he takes pride on many decisions and things he has done in his life but he has many regrets and and way too many problems to think about such things.
Louis' way of doing things being just to push through everything, in a way Louis knows very well that he isn't living his life but he's surviving. That's the way that he has been doing it for a while now and he just likes to think that now it's too late to change anything- not caring whether that is true or not anymore.
But going back to Harry's words, what made Louis feel like absolute shit is the mere reminder of the mess that he has ended up being.
A reminder of the promises he's made to his mother before passed away- the promises of him getting better.
Harry's words were a reminder that instead of getting better he has only gotten even worse.
"Fucking loser..." Louis mutters finally, Lea must be fucking around with him because anyone would be a fool of they thought that Louis would even waste his time in giving Harry 'a chance'.
With that thought in his mind, Louis opens the door of the balcony the warmth of the room making him step in as a smile stretcher on his lips at the loud laughs coming from his mates.
"Tommo! You have to hear this!" Niall says with a laugh making Louis chuckle.
"I'm sure, I do." Louis says as he looks around to find a place to sit.
Only the space next to Harry being free on the sofa. Louis glances at the spot and then at Harry who is already string at him.
Louis just gives the Curly haired man a sarcastic smile as he plops down on Nialls lap.
"What was it that you were saying?" Louis says averting his eyes from Harry back to Niall who was cluelessly wrapping his arms around Louis waist.
And Louis listens to his mate, all night having only one goal; To ignore Harry at the best of his abilities.
