"I hate him!" Louis snaps as he opens the doors of the hotel room.

"We got that much." Niall mutters, making Louis glare at him.

"Who does he think he is anyways, thinking he can go around and- and-" Louis can't even finish his sentence as a groan escapes his lips.

"He didn't seem that bad, though." Liam claims as he sits down on the red couch in the lounge area of their hotel room.

"Liam, will you shut up-"

"But he's right, Louis babe, you might be overreacting." Niall states at his best mate, and Louis can't do anything but roll his eyes and glare at the two other lads.

"You don't understand he -"

"We got that. Will you elaborate to why it actually bothers you?" Niall exclaims as he pours himself a glass of whiskey.

"What do you mean?" Louis furrows his eyebrows, not understanding what Niall is trying to imply.

"True, you can't actually be so bothered that Harry wants to 'fool around' with you if anything I don't get why you didn't accept his of -"

"Don't you fucking dare and it's not just fooling around it seems that Harry Styles looks at everything as objects do I look like an object? Do I?"

"What drugs have you been consuming lately?" Niall snorts as he goes to sit down by Liam.

"Fuck you." Louis says exasperated.

"Gladly." Niall winks before snickering at Liam who is currently texting away on his phone- with Zayn most likely.

Louis rolls his eyes at his mates and goes towards the balcony for a smoke and to think.

Look, Louis hates thinking that usually leads to him making shit decisions at literally everything, he isn't the best at sorting out his thoughts- or anything for that matter- that's beside the point though.

Thing is that Louis knows very well that the lads are right. Why does Louis care that much? Why does all this Harry situation bother him? Why does even Harry fucking Styles bother him, in the first place?

Louis can't seem to find an answer for either of that, he doesn't know- he doesn't know whether it's Harry's cold and ever so distant eyes or if it's the way that the man seems to be anything but himself as if he's pretending and yet nobody is noticing all of that, he doesn't know why he seems to be so interested in Harry but he is and he doesn't know what to do about that either.

Everything seems to be confusing to the blue eyed lad and that irritates him even more.

Because honestly, why does life have to be so hard? Geneunly, it sucks.

But aside from everything one thing that Louis knows is that he has to forget about all of this Harry drama because after all it's not like Louis will have to see the boy everyday so basically he doesn't need to worry about anything.

With that thought, the lad seems content enough to go back into the hotel room and join Niall for a drink.

.....

Today was just a lazy day for the three lads as they had been doing nothing at all other than just eating as much as a person could take.

When the three of them were just hanging around in the living area - each of them minding their own business;

Liam was on his phone once again probably texting with Zayn, Niall was watching the Kardashians (Louis has no idea why Niall is even interested but it seems that there is no questioning Niall) and Louis was currently writing a song while humming different tunes and scribbling on a piece of paper everytime something came up to his mind.

Liam seems to be the first to speak up, "Are you guys OK with Zayn coming over?"

Now Liam has always been the most logical one out of the three of them but he has also been the most shy one, seeming many times hesitant for about many things, and while that isn't necessarily a bad trait it is something that can get in the younger lads way for many things, making Louis more protective of the chocolate eyed man.

"That's ok with me." Niall says as he gives Liam a glance with a small smile.

Meanwhile, Louis just hums with a nod, keeping his focus on the piece of paper in front of him.

"Louis, you should go to the music room for that." Niall says more to annoy the lad than anything.

"Niall's right on that." Liam says, and Louis just nods, repeating verses and tunes in his head as he leaves the room.

"Guess it's one of them days?" Liam asks Niall to which the Irish lad just nods.

"Yup."

.....

Louis has no idea for how long he's been in the music room. All that he knows is that he has been relentlessly scribbling down on his notebook.

He has been having this tune in his head, and his sadness about his mothers death three months ago needs to be expressed somewhere.

But even though he has got the tune sorted out- kind of- he can't write the verses maybe because he wants this song to be perfect since his mother was the most perfect woman he has ever known too, or maybe because there are no words to describe one's grief in such a way that it can be labelled perfect, well, Louis can't do such a thing, at least.

So with everything being said, Louis just writes down every little thing that he feels.

"It's been a minute since I called you," Louis mutters as he plays the soft tune on the piano. He pauses for a little as if to think about the next verses.

"Just to hear the answer phone..." Another pause,
"Yeah, I know that you won't get this,"

Louis blinks away a few tears.

"But I'll leave a message so I'm not alone." and with that, he quickly rushes to write it down on his notebook, actually liking how this is turning out.

And so with the first verses being written, Louis feels like he got the final push to actually start writing, and so he does.

He writes what his heart tells him, what he has been feeling for so long, feelings that he has been keeping to himself just because this is Louis- trying to act as if everything is fine even if it's obviously not.

He doesn't want to worry anyone, so he just builds up his walls and guards himself more from this what he has learned to be a cruel world.

And for once in all these months, Louis let's go of everything and is just simply being himself.
