"You have to stop doing this." Louis pulls back his hand, stopping right in front of the lift.

Harry just looks at Louis, his eyes holding a glint of amusement, "Do I?"

"For fucks sake, yes, you do!" Louis groans, the curly haired one getting on his nerves.

"Maybe." Harry nods as the lifts doors finally open and Harry just pulls Louis inside.

"Where are you even planning on taking me- which, I'm not coming!" Louis says crossing his arms and leaning on the wall.

Harry is quite for a moment, looking at Louis in that certain way where his brows are a little furrowed as if he is considering something in his head.

"Let's make a deal." Harry finally speaks up.

Louis narrows his eyes, "Why on the world would I make a bet with a damn demon." Because that's what Harry is - a demon, a very annoying and handsome demon.

Harry grins at the name he had just been called, "Demon, I like that."

Louis just glares him, "What was the bet then?"

Harry raises an eyebrow, "I thought you weren't interested." The curly haired muses.

"I'm not" Louis pauses, "but go ahead, I guess." He says as if he just wants to get this over with when he is genuinely confused and curious.

"Well then, here you have it, I want you to be my boyfriend-"

"No, not in a million years!"

"Let me finish, for God's sake."

"Go on..."

"I want you to be my fake boyfriend."

"Why would you even want such a thing, no, actually why me of all people?"

"No questions asked." Harry says sternly, making Louis just even more curious.

"And what is my end of the deal?"

"I think you would appreciate being sobber for longer than a day, right?" And that seems to make Louis face harden, his gaze suddenly turning colder than Harry had ever seen.

"What does that have to do with you?"

"It doesn't, but it does for you, doesn't it?" And that's where Louis understands that Harry has in some way understood about Louis' unkept promise to his mother.

Silence is loud - if that even makes any sense. To Louis right now, though, it does make plenty of sense.

"I will think about it."

"It's a deal then."

Louis rolls his eyes, pressing the button of the lift that had arrived ages ago but had been blatantly ignored, the doors sliding open and the two lads stepping in.

"I didn't agree to anything."

"Nonesense."

Louis only glares at Harry as he presses the button for the first floor.

"And how exactly are you planning on 'keeping me sobber for more than a day'."

"I have my ways. You keep your own end of the deal, and I keep mine."

Louis looks at Harry one last time before looking straight ahead.

"Even in front of mates."

Louis glances at Harry exactly when the lifts door slides open.

"What do you mean?" Louis asks, wry of the answer.

"You are gonna be my boyfriend in front of mates too."

Louis looks at Harry, "Why the fuck-"

"No questions asked, don't make me repeat myself."

"You're so weird, I hope you know that." Harry holds the front door of the hotel open for Louis.

"I do..." he says under his breath.

"Good."

The curly haired one just rolls his eyes as he grabs Louis's hand, taking him to his car.

"Where are you planning on taking me this time."

"And you said I was kidnapping you."

"You clearly are."

"Of course." Harry says, an amused smile decorating his lips as he holds the cars door open for Louis.

"Didn't take you for a gentleman."

Harry just sends a wink his way, "Only for you, sugarplum."

"I take it back."

Harry's lips twitch the man trying not to smile wider.

That exact thing shouldn't make Louis stomach feel weird. He shouldn't feel all warm and weird because he is making Harry smile. He really shouldn't.

So, like many things, Louis just doesn't admit it as simple as that.

Harry gets in the car, "Today we are announcing that we are dating to our mates. Don't fuck it up."

"Am I supposed to like you while doing that?" He just had to ask, just because.

"What do you think, are you?" Louis raises an eyebrow, "Unfortunately, I believe you are."

"Very much, unfortunately."

"Poor you, truly." Louis nods with a pout, continuing on being his dramatic self.

"Do I not have the right to at least know why I'm pretending to be your boyfriend?" Louis says after a short pause, curiosity already killing him.

Harry is quiet for a moment, staring straight ahead at the road, Louis at some point thinking that Harry hadn't heard him at all.

"After tonight," Harry glances at Louis, "I promise I will tell you."

"After tonight, alright - where are we even going?"

> > > > >

What Louis didn't really think of is the fact that Harry was actually serious, and he had to act like his boyfriend - seriously.

"If they ask, what do I-"

"Just say whatever you want to, all I need you to do is not fuck it up." Harry grabs Louis' hand, intertwining their fingers together, Louis just now noticing how soft and yet rough at the same time his hands are, "Can you do that?"

Louis looks at the curly haired one for a second, "Yeah, I- I can do that." Do what, Louis forgot.

After that, they both walk in the bub that Harry had driven them to.

"What are you drinking?" Harry asks as they both walk towards the bar.

"Won't we wait for the others to come first?"

"They are almost here, talked to Zayn."

Louis just nods and speaks to the bartender to order, but as soon as he says his drink choice, Harry tightens his hold on Louis hand.

"You aren't drinking that."

"Excuse me? Since when did you -" Harry cuts him off by ordering for the both of them, the bartender starting to prepare their drinks.

"That's too strong. If you want to stay sobber, you have to start acting like you want that too."

Just when Harry finishes, Nialls laugh can be heard from the entrance.

"Uh-oh." Louis tightens his hold on Harry's hand,"What does being your boyfriend even mean?-"

Harry smiles and wraps his arm around Louis waist, "Act natural."

What the fuck does 'act natural' mean?
