Leandra Del Ann was a name that resonated throughout the world. A famous actress, an influential humanitarian, and a woman admired by many.

Her radiant smile and impassioned performances had captivated audiences worldwide. But behind the glamour and fame, Leandra led a secret battle, one that only a few of her closest friends that she had learnt to call a family with time were aware of.

Sometimes, life seems to be passing by like a blurry whirlwind. You just don't feel like you're living your own life anymore.

Lea has been going through a fairly hard phase in her life recently to the point that she feels like she is not even going through everything - like she is watching herself live things.

Lea was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. The news shattered her world, but she remained determined to fight and defy anything her way or so that's what she told herself everyday so she could at least believe half of it because truth to be told she was terrified no matter how much hope she had.

Now, going to a hospital feels ten times scarier than ever before.

She doesn't regret coming back to London. In fact, she even thinks that this might be the best decision she has made lately.

For a while, staying and catching up with her friends after the terrifying past few months that she passed from one doctor appointment to the other seems to really be what she needed to not feel as scared and alone as she did back in Barcelona.

And yet all it took for all the peace that she was feeling to be gone was just a piece of plastic showing her two lines.

Two lines, and now she is terrified.

Two lines, and she has the need to go and make sure.

In less than a day, two lines turn into a dot in a black and white photo that manages to make her hands shake because that's where she refuses to think of what this photo will turn into in less than a year.

She can feel her eyes get filled with tears as she looks ahead at the little white dot in the monitor, her hand having a tight grip onto her best mates hand.

She can barely hear Louis or the doctor talking next to her, her eyes glued to one thing and one thing only.

The room seems so quiet, and yet she feels so messed up inside.

She feels like she is in the middle of the ocean waves crashing over her so many times, and yet as long as she lasted without drowning now, she feels like she is being pushed down into the water no matter her tries of swimming through everything she is being pushed down lower until she can't breathe anymore.

Lea feels helpless, like this is the end of her all hope for things to get better being drained out of her body and mind.

Her gaze slowly shifts up to look at Louis, who is quietly looking at her worried gaze, studying her features.

He gives her a reassuring smile and a squeeze of her hand, but she is still drowning - still getting pushed down into the bottom of the sea.

And she can feel herself going through so many emotions, her mind not knowing what to settle for.

"Love, calm down, please." Lea looks up at Louis again now, noticing the way that her body is shaking, and she is sobbing.

"I will give you a while." She hears the doctor say to which Louis nods with a grateful smile.

The moment that the door clicks closed, Louis looks at his friend.

"You alright, love?"

Lea looks at Louis trying to calm down.

"I'm - I don't know..." she breathes quietly.

"You're alright," he says, wiping her tears away. "I'm here, you're gonna be fine, yeah?"

"How?" She asks in the middle of her helplessness.

Louis just squeezes her hand again. "Do you know who..."

"No, I don't even remember anything, Lou, I-"

"Calm down, it's okay, that's fine."

The room is quiet for a moment. Both pairs of eyes trained on the screen of the monitor.

"I don't want to get rid of them." The decision was quick, not a moment wasted on contemplating anything on that matter as if she had thought of that way ahead no matter her reaction to the news.

"Then you won't." Louis reassures her.

"I won't." she shakes her head, wiping her tears away.

Then there is a knock heared before the door is opened a tad.

"May I?" The kind doctor from before - Dr. Teya says with a small smile.

Lea gives her a small nod in return so the doctor enters the room.

"Dear, I'm so sorry for not being able to leave you to calm down, but I had to ask a few things concerning the illness you have been battling for...?"

"A year and a half, two in a few months..." The young woman admitted quietly.

"Have you been going through any kind of chemotherapy?"

Lea is quiet for a moment, "No, nothing." She can feel Louis eyes on her as his hand squeezes hers.

"That's..." Dr. Teya looks down at a few papers that she has been holding. "You see, it's not that this occurs many times, pregnancy while suffering of cancer is not easy."

The woman is quiet for a while walking towrads her desk and setting down the papers before sitting down herself, nodding for Louis and Lea to sit in the chairs before her.

After the pair is sat down, the doctor speaks again, "Now, not only considering your own reaction to the news but also your medical records, I will have to say this, termination of pregnancy can be necessary to save a woman's life, there are medical conditions that warrant us to encourage a woman to have an abortion."

"Are you suggesting that I have an abortion Dr. Teya?" Lea calmly asks her hand, having a firm grip on Louis'.

"No, no, I'm not, but I would like to give you a heads up that this pregnancy could be really hard on not only you but the baby as well."

"Does this affect the baby?" Lea asks urgently.

"No, the fetus does not get affected by your illness, but it can be hard to treat your illness with certain chemotherapy."

"I won't be doing any kind of chemotherapy, Dr. Teya, I know that I will die, and that's what I don't want to put my child through, but pushing my life more than my body is willing to won't change my fate. I will keep the baby, though. I want to hold them and let that be the last thing I do." She speaks the truth in such a calm voice that would send anyone shivers up their spines.

Lea was driven by the hope of getting to experience the joy of motherhood and let thar be for a fleeting moment.

Clinging to the newfound hope that she will be able to survive long enough to hold her baby in her arms.
