Season 2/Chapter 26: What Can You Do?

3rd Pov. 

In the morning, Troy kicks Clementine to wake her up. She looks up at him and glares at him with annoyance. 

Clementine: What?

Troy: Get up. Bill's gonna have a word.

Clementine gets up and joins the rest of the group. The door opens and Carver enters while Jane walks across the roof. Meanwhile, away from the group, Y/n's just waking up and is still inside Madison's bed. His face still being pushed into her boobs as she hadn't yet let go of him from last night. 

Y/n: (Mind) Shit, no wonder I couldn't breath. 

He moves around a little bit to try and wake her up, but it doesn't do anything. So he gets an idea and starts to breathe out a little before quickly heating up his body just enough to wear Madison's hand, which was touching his back, gets a very small burn. She instantly wakes up and pulls her hand back. 

Madison: Ow! You little bastard!

Y/n rolls out of bed quickly and stands up, grabbing his hat before placing it on his head. She looks at the burn on her hand and then at him. Angry, she stands up and looks at Y/n as she is quick to raise her hand and tries to slap him. However her hand phases through his body as it was recognized as a threat. 

Y/n: Sorry, Madison. I may not be able to kill you right now, but you also can't hurt me unless I let you. 

Madison looks at him and grips his hand, slightly feeling the burn. She stares at Y/n for a brief moment and chuckles to herself as she reaches out, placing her hand on the side of his face. 

Madison: I see... Alright, alright. 

Y/n looks at her for a moment and she nods her head. 

Madison: Y'know what? Wait there, and we'll go out to the others here in a minute. 

Y/n watches her, wondering what she's thinking about doing as something is obviously up, but does as he's told. She quickly puts on her clothes & Y/n averts his eyes, of course, so he doesn't look at her. After a minute, she's fully dressed and grabs Y/n by the shoulder as she points to the door. 

Madison: Come on, go. 

They both leave the room and start heading over to the yard where the others are being kept at the moment. Back at the yard, Carver is starting to talk to the others, practically giving a speech while he does. Everyone is standing in front of him while Troy & the woman, Tavia, are near him. 

Carver: There's been increased walker activity along the fence, so be mindful when outside the walls. The herd's moved a little closer as of this morning, but that still doesn't necessarily mean we'll be hit. Know we're monitoring the situation. Now...

Before he can continue, they all hear the sound of footsteps and Carver stops talking. He turns his head and looks behind him where he finds that Y/n and Madison are walking up. Madison's holding her hand and Carver looks at her. 

Carver: What happened there? 

Madison: (Chuckles) Nothing much. He was just a little too rowdy. Nothing I can't handle. 

Carver: Hm. 

Carver looks at Y/n and nods toward the others so he walks over to them much the relief of everyone there. Especially Clem, Carley, Molly, and Kenny. He takes a standing spot by Clem while she reaches out and grabs his hand. 

Clementine: (Whispers) I'm glad you're back. Are you okay? 

Y/n: (Whisper) Me too, and... yeah. Mostly. Come on, let's pay attention to what this asshole has to say.
