Asheva extended an inviting wing towards Alex, her crow form gracefully leading the way out of the diner. Alex hesitated for a moment, his gaze flickering between Asheva and the outside world. With a mix of curiosity and trepidation, he decided to take a leap of faith and followed her through the bustling streets.

As they walked, Asheva's ebony feathers glistened under the warm glow of the streetlights. Her Work Uniform consisted of a sleek black apron adorned with intricate silver patterns, complemented by a crisp white shirt and black trousers, exuding an air of professionalism and style.

The city sounds slowly faded into the background, replaced by the faint rustle of Asheva's wings and the distant hum of traffic. After a few blocks, they arrived at Asheva's apartment building, a quaint and unassuming structure nestled between larger buildings.

Inside, the air was filled with a subtle mix of earthy scents and the inviting aroma of freshly baked bread. The walls were adorned with a collection of eclectic artwork, showcasing Asheva's appreciation for creativity and expression. A bookshelf stood proudly against one wall, filled with titles ranging from fiction to philosophy, reflecting a curious mind seeking knowledge.

Asheva turned to Alex with a warm smile, her crow eyes gleaming with a mix of reassurance and sincerity. "Make yourself comfortable," she said, gesturing towards a plush couch in the living room. "I'll be just a moment. Take a seat while I freshen up and prepare something for us to eat."

Alex cautiously sat down, his mind racing with a whirlwind of emotions. He glanced around the room, studying the various trinkets and personal touches that adorned Asheva's living space. The uncertainty still lingered, casting a shadow of doubt over his trust. Was Asheva truly an ally, or was this just a ruse?

As he observed the decorations, his gaze fell upon a small collection of photographs on a nearby side table. They depicted moments frozen in time—smiling faces, adventures captured in frames, and the warmth of shared experiences. It was a glimpse into Asheva's personal life, a reminder that beneath the mysterious exterior, she was just like any other individual, with her own joys and vulnerabilities.

Mixed emotions swirled within Alex—fear, gratitude, curiosity, and a glimmer of hope. He found himself questioning whether he could truly trust Asheva, even as she had shown him kindness and extended a helping wing. The weight of his circumstances made it difficult to fully let his guard down.

Asheva emerged from the hallway, now dressed in a comfortable shirt and black jeans, her feathers slightly ruffled from her quick shower. She approached Alex with a plate of freshly prepared food, the enticing aroma of baked bread filling the room. The warm, comforting scent embraced him, momentarily distracting Alex from his apprehension.

"Here, have something to eat," Asheva said, her voice gentle and soothing. "It's not much, but I hope it brings you some comfort."

Alex nodded, accepting the plate gratefully. As he took a bite, the flavors of the bread danced on his palate, offering a temporary respite from the whirlwind of emotions. He couldn't deny the sense of relief that washed over him, knowing he had found a temporary sanctuary in the presence of Asheva.

"So...." Asheva began, her voice gentle and warm, "I've been meaning to ask you, what exactly are you? And what's your name?"

Alex took a moment to gather his thoughts, his gaze fixed on the bread in his hands. He wasn't sure if he could tell her. But she was the only one that offered him help.

"I-I'm a Human. That's what we are called in our world" he explained to Asheva. "We're kinda like you, but we have no fur or muzzles, only furless skin, and hair on our heads.

Asheva listened attentively, a mixture of curiosity etched on her face. She reached out, placing a comforting hand on his, their fingers interlocking briefly.
