We were in my backyard. We had all brought Raelynn home after what happened at the forge with Draal.

"He might be right," I said sadly to Blinky and Lyonna, "What the heck was I thinking? Amulets can't choose people. Their amulets..."

"Jim?" Arrrgh asked. I ignored him and walked towards the back door of my house.

"I understand you're upset, Master Jim," Blinky tried to talk to me, "But you've had only a moment's training, and even I cannot explain what happened with Mistress Raelynn, it has never happened before...There is no shame in what transpired tonight."

"Okay," I turned to them, "Well, then you were definitely not paying attention back there. Shame was about the only thing that transpired. Shame, Humiliation, and fear..."

I sighed and took out both amulets from my pocket, "And a realization."

"I don't know if Draal should be the daylight trollhunter or not, or even who should take Rae's place. But I don't care. I just know that we can't."

I tossed the amulets onto the grass and they landed at Blinky's feet. He picked them up again.

"Master Jim," He said, "Despite whatever doubts you may have about the amulet's choices; they are bonded to the both of you now." The daylight amulet flew out of Blinky's hand and landed in mine.

"This is a mantle that you cannot refuse.." The moonlight amulet disappeared and reappeared back in my hand alongside my own amulet.

I glared at the amulets before dropping them back onto the ground, "Watch me.."

I entered my room, only to see my amulet glowing on the nightstand. I picked it up and tossed it into the trash can next to my desk.

I laid down on the bed and turned onto my side, only to see the amulet on the pillow next to me.

"Oh shut up..." I grumbled. I grasped the amulet and threw it back into the trash can, then put three of my heaviest textbooks on top of it. I sat down at my desk and found the amulet glowing in front of me.

I fell over, off of my chair in surprise. Knocking down the trash can and the books.

I went downstairs to the living room and found Raelynn still laying on the couch, snuggled up under the blanket. I sat down next to where she was laying and reached to grab the remote off of the coffee table. I turned on a movie and made a bowl of popcorn.

I picked up a piece of popcorn while I was watching the movie, I reached for the popcorn and grabbed a piece. I went to eat it but ended up biting into the amulet.

I growled and threw the amulet back into the bowl of popcorn. I went back upstairs and into the bathroom.

I started to brush my teeth and opened the mirror cupboard and the amulet was sitting there on the shelf. I grabbed the amulet violently and brought it into the backyard. I grabbed a baseball bat out the back door and prepared to hit the amulet.

"Buenas Noches," I said as I hit the amulet with the bat. It flew fairly far away. I turned around to go back into the house and felt it hit the back of my head, "really?"

"Deny and refuse'. Oh but he can't deny it," Miss Janeth said, "But Romeo can't not be a Montague, which means that Juliet..."

"And I'll no longer be a Capulet," I replied.

"Exactly!" Miss Janeth exclaimed happily, "Jim?"

He looked at her, "huh?"
