Sixteen

~Bryce's POV~

Mom introduces the new men to our group, that Charles goes over how mom and Rick could overtake the inside of the prison. How if there are people then mom would need to use her truth/trusting orb to see if any of the prisoners deserve redemption. This is the first time mom is actually trusting humans or allowing humans into her life, this is all new for her.

"Okay!" Mom has everyone gather around "we need to get ready to go into the prison since it's not safe being camped out here in the yard"

"This is how things will go" Rick says "Charles, he and a few of his men will go in with us to clear out a cell block. Some of you will keep an eye on the animals and feed them" yes mom woke up the animals and it's been a hassle making sure the animals are taken care of. So many animals, I can't believe we even found that many.

"Lastly" Charles says "if any prisoners are found that aren't bitten, you need to be wary since they might not be trustworthy. Leave that to Rick, Phoenix and I" Charles and his men are wary of us, it's understandable given how there are zombies all around and now two hybrids are trying to help them? They don't know if our agenda is true.

A portal opens and we see Aunt Mimmi come in "Aunt Mimmi!" I exclaim seeing her along with her friend Greer come in. Mimmi has dark hair, blue eyes and tan skin while Greer has blonde hair, brown eyes and rosy pale skin.

"Easy" Mom says "their my friends who have come to help" I hug them as does mom "thought you were coming in tomorrow"

"We have things we needed to grab" motioning to the boxes behind them.

"How are things?" I ask

Shrugging their shoulders "better than here"

"We can catch up later" mom tells them "but first we need to do something" mom heads in with Rick, Charles and a few of Charles men.

"So" Glen comes over "what do you think of this place?"

Looking around "Perfect to gather the bricks, we can build a wall with them"

He nods his head "I meant living here until Lori has the baby"

Looking at Lori who rubs her belly "That baby should have been born by now, if it isn't then we need to do a C-Section and even then I've never done that. Mom has"

"Do you think Lori will die?" He asks

"I think mom needs to take the baby out" looking at him "right now, Lori's a week late" looking around the place "if we start dismantling the bricks, we could have enough to make a hundred foot wall"

"Your mom wants the wall to be thick" Glen says, over the months we have been going into how big the compound needs to be. How one section will be designed for the livestock and another for the vegetables and fruit and another for the herbs moms plans on growing. Then another section for the homes to be built.

"In her mind" I say "Elysium is like Winterfell from Game of Thrones"

"And what do you picture?" He asks

Shrugging my shoulders "As long as Aro doesn't find us, I'm fine" looking around "you know, the guard tower right there" I point to the tower "it's empty"

"And?" He asks confused

Rolling my eyes "It's empty and no one needs us at the moment" he is still confused before realizing. Nodding my head as he blushes and his heart races, oh Glen is so adorable at times.

~Phoenix's POV~

"I'm sure we can come to an agreement" this Axel gets between Tomas and myself, we have just taken over the prison and we found five prisoners. Our people are in the one cell block while I talk with Tomas the head along with Rick and Charles.

Looking at Rick and Charles, I pull them aside "Should we try to compromise?"

"No" Rick says as Charles says "yes"

"Why?" Rick asks "their prisoners"

"Look at them" we do and Tomas has this aura around him that I don't like "he and that Andrew don't seem to be trustworthy but Big Tiny? Axel? Oscar? They only seem to be looking like they want to survive"

"They all do" Rick argues "we can't have another situation like the last one"

Charles is confused "Five men, like this. All of them rapists-tried to rape one of our own" I explain "but I don't know Rick, maybe if we ask questions and I have my orb that shows when a person is lying could it be beneficial"

Rick rubs his jaw "Fine" agreeing "but only if we go over the questions we'll ask, I'm not risking anyone's life"

"And you think I am?" I ask

"No...but" looking around before at me "Phoenix, your not exactly a good judge of character on some things. Just if we're going to do this...we need to be thorough"

"Fine" pulling away, I go to them "I'm going to ask you each individually a series of questions. If you pass you will have the option of joining us and if you don't we kill your"

Tomas laughs, coming near he tries to size me up "Listen loca, I don't know who you think you are but" grabbing him by his throat, it's tight that he tries to get his gun but Rick quickly takes it as the men we have raise their weapons.

"No" looking him in the eyes "you listen, if you try anything I'll kill you since I'm not risking anything. Actually..." snapping his neck, I stab him in the head while Andrew tries to kill me but Rick kills him first.

"Please" Axel gets on his knees starting to cry "please don't kill me, I want to live. Please" oh boy, I hate criers.
