Ep 13

It was 1 am and Sam was still not home. Mon tried to call her but her phone was off - or maybe out of battery Mon thought - she had told Mon she would try to get home early.
The only problem was that Ariee was not okay, she had a fever and she was crying none stop. Mon had tried everything to calm the baby but nothing was working. It was the first time she heard her daughter crying so much. It seemed that she was in pain but of course, she was just a baby and couldn't talk. Mon wanted to tell Sam, she wasn't sure what to do!

Mon; Shhh. It's okay baby! Mommy is here. - but Ariee just kept on crying and she didn't stop! - I'm sorry baby. Mommy will try to call your mama again!

Mon got her cellphone and dialed her wife's number but it didn't work again, just like the tenth time she had tried before.
Mon hugged her crying daughter and tears started falling from her eyes too. She kept on rocking her around the room but Ariee's cry just kept on getting hysterical.
Mon checked her temperature again and her fever had gone way up. Without thinking twice, she got the diaper bag (baby's bag) and changed out of her PJs. Mon grabbed Ariee and put her in the baby car seat and drove to the nearest hospital!
When she got there, she was immediately admitted to the ER. While the doctors were examining Ariee Mon tried to contact her wife again, but still no answer. Mon started crying together with her daughter. She was feeling lonely and scared and needed Sam next to her!
Her daughter was looking weak, and that made Mon even scarier. She was praying to all the gods to help her daughter!

Doctor; All of our tests indicate that Ariee has pneumonia. Did she catch any cold lately?
Mon; She was coughing a lot a few weeks ago but it has gotten better.
Doctor; It's possible that her lungs were infected by her cold. The reason she was crying a lot it's because it was hard for her to bread. It was painful for her...She's now breathing much better, which is a great sign! We have given her some antibiotics to help as well. The help of antibiotics, lots of fluid, and resting should help her recover. We will keep monitoring her for now and later if she shows great signs of recovery we will dismiss her, her fever is still a bit high so we will wait for that to go down as well. Do you have any questions?
Mon; No, thank you! - Mon wipes her tears while looking at her child sleeping on the hospital bed. She held her hands and kissed them -
Doctor; Please let me know if you need anything. The nurse is right out the door if you need any help!
Mon; Thank you, again Doctor!
Doctor; No worries, see you soon! - he left. Mon sighed and grabbed her phone. No calls from Sam! Mon was starting to get worried. It was already four in the morning and no signs of Sam.
She decided to look for Sam's assistant's number. It was late but she needed to know what was going on; so Mon called her. After a few seconds, the girl answered.

Lilly; Ms. Mon? Are you okay? - the girl asked worried. Mon never called her, especially at that time -
Mon; I'm sorry to be calling at this time Lilly. I know you were at the company's event last night and I'm just checking if you've seen Sam. I've been trying to call her but her phone is not working. She told me she would've left at midnight but I haven't heard from her. Ariee is sick at the hospital and I don't know what to do and who to call - Mon said everything under one breath -
Lilly; There was an after party Ms. Mon! I think Sam went there. Would you like - Mon interrupted her before she could finish
Mon; An after-party? - in disbelief- Are you sure!
Lilly; Yes! I'm sure Khum Sam is there. Would you like for me to come to the hospital? I can leave my house now. Is Ariee okay?
Mon; Thank you, Lilly, she will be fine. No need to come. I know you are tired! Thank you for helping!
Lilly; You're very welcome. Please call me if you need help.
Mon; Will do! Bye!

Mon couldn't believe what Lilly had told her. Sam, should've told her! They have a baby at home, Sam should've told her or at least called!
She was hoping Lilly was wrong! Mon sighed and tried to close her eyes. She was tired and mad! She tried to close her eyes for a little bit before she could do that Ariee started crying! Mon immediately help her and checked if she was okay - it's been a long night!

It was only at six in the morning that Mon and the nurse were able to calm Ariee. Her fever had gone down but the baby was still fussy and feeling uncomfortable; her appetite wasn't great either which made things worst!
Mon decided not to call anyone. She didn't want to worry anyone just yet. It was too early and she knew her daughter would feel better soon!
Mon checked her phone to see if there was any missed call from her wife but there was nothing. However, there was a bunch of news/sources about her wife's where-being. Tears started to fall down Mon's eyes while she was reading one of the many articles she was tagged on. According to the gossip site "The CEO of  True Beauty CO. Sam Sarocha was seen together with the Top Model Nina Vie"
Mon whole body started to shake, that couldn't be true. Sam wouldn't do that to her! Mon kept reading the article, maybe it was a prank. She scrolled down only to find many pictures of Sam talking with the model. They looked close. Sam was too close to her! In some other pictures, Sam was holding the girl's waste. In others, the girl looked like she was whispering in her ears.
That couldn't be true! Mon kept repeating those words to herself. Her tears wouldn't stop falling. This was a nightmare! Her worst nightmare!
Mon tried to call her wife again in hopes this was a lie. Maybe she would pick up this time and tell her she was home and couldn't find her phone. But nothing! Sam didn't pick up!
Her phone kept beeping, but it was just people tagging her on the articles and commenting none sense! Mon's started to cry, the more she would think about what was happening, the more she  would cry! She was living a nightmare! Her daughter was laying on the hospital bed while there were rumors of her wife cheating on her!
Mon's cry got louder that even the nurse came to check on her!
Nurse; Ms! Are you okay? - but Mon just nodded trying to play it off. It wasn't working! - Maybe you should call someone to come help you! You've been up since you got here. You need to rest to take care of your baby! Maybe you should call your partner?
Mon; I'm okay! Thank you for worrying! - Mon whipped her tears and tried to smile -
Nurse; Okay - The lovely nurse smiled knowing that Mon wasn't okay!- I will be outside if you need me! - Mon nodded while watching the nurse leave the room! Mon started to silently cry again!
Mon looked at the bed only to see her daughter's beautiful eyes looking at her.
Mon; Oh baby - Mon grabbed her daughter and hugged her while crying - You are up - Mon looked into her daughter's beautiful eyes which were exactly like her wife's - You are so brave, baby girl! Mommy is so proud of you! - she hugged her again crying!

While Mon was hugging her daughter her phone rang and she quickly grabbed it thinking it was Sam, but it was her friend!

Jin: Mon? What's going on? - Jin asked worried and the only thing she could hear was Mon crying. - Please don't tell me Sam did this Mon! I don't believe it! It has to be some misunderstanding and I know you are thinking the same. Right?!
Mon; I'm hoping so! But Jin I haven't heard from Sam yet.
Jin; what do you mean? She's not home?
Mon; I don't think so! I'm at the hospital with Ariee. She has pneumonia!
Jin; WHAT?? - Jin was shocked- WHY DIDN'T YOU CALL ME OR IRIN MON?
Mon; I didn't want to worry anyone. She's okay now. We will probably be dismissed soon!
Jin; Mon - Jin sighed feeling sad for her friend - How are you feeling?
Mon; I a mess - tears kept falling- I need Sam here with me!
Jin; Don't cry! I'm coming!
Mon; It's okay Jin, I will be fine!
Jin; NO! And I'm waking up Rini as well! And I'm going to find Sam, if whatever the articles are saying she did is true I'm going to kill her!!! Tell my baby girl Aunty Jin and Rini are coming!
Mon; Okay! - Mon sighed and hang up the phone!

She sighed while looking at her daughter! Sam wouldn't do that to them. Right ?!...
