Kidnapped Girl

Lydia/Gibbson's Pov ~ Chapter 11

I can't believe it. I mean I haven't seen Calum in years. Now that he's famous and that I guess he hasn't had much time. The house is full of people, mostly neighbours I think. I see Calum stand next to a girl with blonde hair, like me. She's beautiful, yet again I'm not surprised to see Calum talking to a blonde, he has a thing for them. I sneakily creep up behind him, grab his shoulders and kiss him on the cheek. At first he's surprised then he smiles. I embrace his arms and we hug. The girl next to me takes a step back and says.

"Oh Calum I didn't know you had a girlfriend".

As soon as she says that i let go of Calum and ruffle his hair. I reply back.

"Yeah....he's my boyfriend".

I start to laugh when Calum interrupts me.

"Don't listen to her Cam, she's not my girlfriend, this is Lydia or Gibbson as everyone calls her. She's my annoying cousin".

The girl. Cam. Smiles, like she's relived. She must of believed me. I'm soo mean. I might as well say sorry. Too bad that moment has come and gone. Calum nudges me as if he wants me to say sorry. I roll my eyes and say.

"Hey umm Cam? Is that your name? I'm sorry about saying Calum is my boyfriend. I've always wanted to say that, embarrassment can hit hard to any cousin. Especially Calum".

"Oh it's fine, I understand".

She pulls off a smile, barely but it's enough to convince Calum but not me. I let it slide for now. Ash walks into the room and taps Calum on the shoulder.

"Hey man, we've got a performance remember? We can't play without you and your bass".

"Okay Luke". Calum turns to me and Cam. "I'll see you two beautiful ladies in the show".

Calum smiles and walks away. Leaving me and Cam behind. I know she still probably doesn't like me for lying to her. I can read girls like a book. She likes Calum and when I told her that lie she was shocked, horrified even. I'm hoping she forgives me, until then I guess we both wait until the boys come on stage and perform.
