Calum is crazy. Even if we can pull this off, we'll probably won't live to tell about it. My gut always tells me to stay away from trouble. Or my mum will kill me. I can't swear ( sometimes ) and drinking is out of the question ( maybe ). The more I think about the consequences of following Calum, the more I chicken out. I focus on Camilla and how this will help her. I'm not as brave as Calum, I know that and yet I'm going though with this? Yep I've lost my mind.
Camilla's house still looks the same, apart from police tape covering everything. The police has bad taste in tape, I'm not one to judge but seriously, black and yellow? Add some punk rock to it. I'm getting too caught up in my own thoughts. Anyway....since we don't have to break in physically, we can just open the door. How kind of us. Calum comes face to face with the door to the house. He finds the key and puts the key into the lock. I hold my breath when he does, I don't know why, I guess I'm expecting someone to appear in the other side. Calum walks in through the door right away, l barely have a chance to stop him. What if we get caught? My mum would murder me and my girlfriend would probably kill me as well. I walk after Calum and so does the others.
The house is empty. As in: No life anywhere. Perfect. Calum starts to open draws, cupboards and boxes. Wait. What did Calum say before? I remember and say
"Hey Calum! I thought you said we have to look in the less obvious places? Why are you looking in the places where the police have covered?".
Calum thanks me by a smile and starts towards the stairs. He's going to Camilla's room. Of course he would. Camilla's room is like any other girls room, posters of bands ( mostly ours ) make-up, mirrors, a massive wardrobe etc. What is Calum looking for? He searches everything untill he finds..a diary. Camilla's diary. He opens it only to see thousands of words upon a page. The last date she'd written about was the day she was kidnapped. Calum reads solo, then he passes it to us. Calum stands still, wide eyed. I start to read.
-Dear Diary,
Today is a good day. My parents will finally leave me alone. Now I can talk to Calum. I wish I could tell him how I feel about him. The way I look at him, portrait him. He's perfect and I love him. But I feel strange. Ever since I've meet Calum, I've had these letters, threats about me having to stay away from Calum or I will have to pay the price. I don't understand. Who would write them? Who would want to hurt me or Calum? I can't think about this, I have to stay positive and think about my future. -
Threat letters? To Camilla? That has to be linked to the kidnapping. Maybe Camilla was kidnapped because she was with Calum. Yet she doesn't give any help to where the letters are. We have to find them letters or finding Camilla will be impossible.
