Calum's Pov ~ Chapter 16

Ever since that day with the press and crowds. I've been worrying about Camilla. She has never experienced that before, she shouldn't have to at this point in time. I'm stressed, worried, afraid. Mostly for Camilla. I really hope her parents didn't watch the news, but I ought they didn't anyway. The house I filled with silence. For once. The boys and girls have gone to a meeting about something, i said I didn't want to come and they said that's fine. I'm not in the mood to be having meetings, especially at a time like this. Suddenly, I hear noises coming from outside. Shouting and cursing. Camilla's voice stands out the most, I run to open the door, only to see Camilla shouting at her parents. I hear Camilla say.

"What the hell?! Why are both of you having a go at me!! What you saw yesterday on TV wasn't threatening! Calum protected me! He made the press go away! I'm safe see?! Don't you dare blame Calum for this!! He's protected me more than you two put together!!".

I walk out the house, Camilla sees me and runs over. Her make up smudged and faded, she smells of tears and perfume. I stand slightly in front of her, protecting her. Across the grass stood Camilla's parents. Looking at me with piercing eyes, glaring at me. Camilla's dad speaks first.

"Camilla! Listen to me! He's a celebrity, he doesn't care about you! He's only going out with you to make him more popular! Don't you see! He's using you!!".

"Dad for God's sake!! Stop!! He's not using me!! You don't understand!! He saved me from the press!! And you know what!! I'm not a toy, if Calum was using me for popularity I would know!! But he isn't!! He loves me! And i love him back. You've always wanted me to be happy. Why aren't you now!! What are you afraid he will dump me? Throw me away? Well he won't!! So stop acting like he will!!".

I'm speechless. Camilla has always been soo sweet and loving. To hear all of that come out her mouth? I'm shocked. Camilla's mum intervenes with the convocation.

"Camilla, sweetheart. We love you, we are only protecting you and loving this boy puts you in danger! You think we can't afford a new house? Well we can and we can move anywhere we like. We can easily move away from here! From him! Now come with us now!! We need to talk. And if I see you with him again I will make sure you will regret it, trust me".

"Awww mum look at you, finally caring about me for once in your 'perfect' life. Don't threaten me! You wish you had that amount of money! You can't stop me from seeing him!!".

I've had enough of this!

"Oi you two!! Do you like talking to your daughter like that?! Well stop!! She has been through alot, she doesn't need you in her face making it worse!! Leave her alone!!".

Camilla looks at me and smiles. I kiss her on the lips, making sure her parents see. They look away. Good. I kiss her deeper as I whisper.

"Go with your parents. Act like you forgive them. Message me on Skype later".

We stop kissing and Camilla walks towards her parents. They give me a dirty look and walk away with Camilla. I lean back and breathe in and out deeply just as Beth's car pulls up into the driveway. The others jump out the car, rushing towards me. I look up, I can't explain what has just happened here, I signal everyone inside. This is gonna be a long story.
