When we arrived back at Hogwarts, Pansy and I immediately went to our dormrooms to unpack our bags. We had to walk through the commonroom to get there and secretely I was hoping Mattheo would be sitting there, but it was eerily quiet in the commonroom. He must be in his own room or somewhere else in the castle. I was a bit disappointed not to see him, but maybe it was for the better. I think it will only hurt me more if I do see him. Pansy and I kept walking further to our dormroom and went inside. 'Are you ready to be back yet?' Pansy asked once the door closed. 'What do you mean?' I asked a bit confused. 'Are you ready to see him again? You haven't seen him in two weeks and now you're going to spend everyday together again. Are you up for that?' I really didn't know if I would be, but I don't have a choice. 'Yes ofcourse. It'll be fine, right?' I said with a smile that showed more hurt than happiness. 'If you ever need an out out of a conversation, just say... uhh... pineapples. Okay?' 'Pineapples?' I asked confused. 'It's our codeword from now on. So, if you ever need me to save you from Mattheo, just say that.' Pansy said it with a straight face, but I couldn't take her seriously. 'Sure, Pans. Will do.' I responded while laughing. Pansy joined me with her own laughs and together we laughed our asses off. I don't know when I will ever need pineapples, but I'm glad to have Pansy to come save me if I need her to.

After our laughing had died down, we unpacked our bags and went for dinner in the Great Hall. Pansy and I walked in together and sat down at the Slytherin table. There he was. Mattheo was sitting diagonally across from me. We stared at eachother for a couple seconds, before we got taken out of our trance by Pansy. 'Does anybody want any pineapples?' She asked. I immediately turned my head towards her. 'No, thank you, Pans.' 'Are you sure, babe?' 'Yes.' 'Okay, they're here for you when you need them.' 'I know.' I gave her a weak smile and started to grab some food.

For the rest of dinner, I did my best to not look at Mattheo, but sometimes I took a quick peak. Right after dinner, Pansy and I went back to our dorm and soon after we went to bed. That first night back, I couldn't sleep. So, I went outside my room to go get some food from the commonroom. While walking towards the commonroom, I heard some voices coming out of one of the other rooms. I walked towards the voices and noticed they were coming from Mattheo's room. I listened and I heard him groaning and yelling in pain. I opened the door to see what was happening, but all I could see was him rolling in pain while sleeping. Deep inside, I knew I had to turn around and just walk out, because his nightmares weren't my problem anymore, but I couldn't. After everything he did, he still didn't deserve those nightmares. No one does. I grabbed my wand and hesistated once more. Was this a good idea? Should I do this? Fuck it. 'Legilimens.' I whispered. I entered Mattheo's nightmare and saw how his father asked about me. Mattheo didn't answer him and in return he got hit by the Cruciatus curse. His father kept going, which is why Mattheo was screaming in pain. I turned my head around, I couldn't watch this. And I needed to focus to be able to change the nightmare. I focused as much as I could between the screams and placed a memory of my own in his mind. It was one where I was observing him while he was making potions. He was completely in his element and enjoying every second of it. Once I knew this memory would keep on playing in his head, instead of the nightmare, I got out of his mind again. I took a couple steps back, while trying not to fall over because of the exhaustion that hit me like a truck. I forgot how much energy this took. I silently tried to walk back to my room without falling over, but I stumbled against Draco's room in the process. Within a couple seconds Draco opened the door, to see me half asleep against the wall next to his door. 'What's going on Y/N?' Draco asked me. 'Hmmm?' 'What's wrong? Why are you standing here?' He asked genuinely concerned. Somehow I mustered up enough energy to form a coherent sentence. 'I'm sorry. I think I sleepwalked here. I'll be going back to bed again. Good night.' I heard Draco whisper a silent 'What?' while stumbling back to my own room. I opened the door and stumbled forward to my bed, only barely making it before passing out.
