Mattheo's POV
The next couple of days, Y/N and I spent almost every minute of every day together. The only moments we didn't spend together, were the ones where we were in different classes. I had missed her so much, that I couldn't even imagine life being this great again. Only it didn't last long, once I got another letter from my father. He wanted to once again know the progress with Y/N. My father was never going to leave us alone, so the only thing left to do, was to go to him and tell him to leave Y/N alone. But, before I could do that, I had to talk to Y/N. She was just coming out of the classroom, when I was waiting for her in the corridor. 'Hey, babe!' She said while running up to me to give me a kiss. I returned the kiss, but apparently not as enthusiastic as I normally do, because Y/N immediately noticed something was up. 'What's wrong, Mattheo?' 'Let's go to my room, we can talk there.' I responded. I wanted to tell her everything right away, but I couldn't say anything about my father in the middle of the corridor with all these people around us. 'You're scaring me, Mattheo.' I could see the uneasiness in her eyes. 'There's nothing to be afraid of, love.' I said it to comfort her, but also to comfort myself. I grabbed Y/N's hand and together we started walking towards my room. Once we reached my room I opened the door and led Y/N in, before entering myself and closing the door behind us. 'Could you now please tell me what's going on, Mattheo?' I could see Y/N was still nervous about what I was going to say. 'I got another letter from my father. He wants to know how it's going with you.' 'Okay, that's nothing new right?' Y/N responded hoping that, that was everything I wanted to say. 'He's never going to stop asking. He will not stop until we've made a choice. And neither of his options are going to become a reality.' 'What are you saying, Mattheo?' 'I'm going over there to let him know that I'm not going to play along in his games anymore. That it's over and he will never ever touch you.' 'Mattheo, no. He's never going to just let us off the hook. And I don't want you to get hurt.' 'It's the only way, love.' 'Then, I'm going to come with.' 'No, the hell you are.' What is she thinking? I'm not going to bring her over to my father. It won't be a happy conversation and if he knows that she's never going to join his side and she's there as well, he will kill her right there and then. And I will never let that happen. 'Yes, I am, Mattheo. I can't let you do this on your own.' 'Y/N, I don't want you anywhere near my father. I can't risk you getting hurt or worse... So, please. I'm begging you, stay here.' I looked at her with desperation in my eyes. 'Okay.' Her voice was barely above a whisper, but she agreed to stay here.
The next morning I went over to my father's house. I was incredibly nervous, but determined to tell my father to stay away from Y/N. I knew he would be incredibly mad, but I had to do this. I have to keep him away from Y/N, whatever it takes. I walked inside my father's house and immediately went over to his office. He should be here, because that's where he always is, if he's at home. I knocked on the door and waited for an answer. 'What do you want, Geaner?!' My father yelled through the door, thinking it was Geaner knocking on the door. I slowly opened the door to reveal that it was me knocking. 'Oh, Mattheo. It's just you. What are you doing home?' A little more enthusiasm for your son coming home is appreciateted father. 'I received your letter.' I responded while trying to calm my nerves. 'So? How is it going with the girl?' 'I came here to let you know, you should forget about her.' 'And why is that, son?' My father was now standing up from his office chair and hinted for me to sit down in the chair facing the other side of his desk. I walked over and sat down in the chair. 'Because, she's not worth it. She's never going to be convinced to join your side, but she won't join her sister's side in a war either. So, there's no need to go after her.' 'I'll be the judge of that.' My father responded, while walking around his desk and leaning against it next to where I was sitting. 'Just leave her alone father.' I tried to let him leave her alone, hoping that he would change his mind, but knowing deep inside, nothing would change it. 'Don't tell me you've grown to care for the girl.' My father didn't even react to my plead to leave Y/N alone. So, I didn't react to his statement. 'You have, haven't you?' He added. I still didn't respond. 'You're weak. She's a filthy mudblood for Christ's sake.' He shouldn't have said that. I stood up out of the chair to grab my wand, but my father cast a spell which blew my wand out of my hand, pushed me back in the chair and tied me to it. I couldn't move anymore. 'You should know better, than to try to attack me, Mattheo.' My father said once I stopped resisting against the restraints. 'And you shouldn't talk like that about Y/N!' I said back. 'I thought I taught you last time that you shouldn't talk back to me? Maybe we should revisit that lesson. Crucio!' Just like the previous time, my body started writhing in pain, because of the Cruciatus Curse. It was one of the worst pains I've ever experienced in my life, but it was all worth it if Y/N would be safe.
