Once I got back to the commonroom, I immediately walked over to Pansy. 'Don't tell me you forgave him.' Pansy said without me having said anything. 'Can we talk about this in private?' I asked in response. I wanted to tell her why I forgave Mattheo, but I didn't want to tell her in front of his friends. They shouldn't have to know about his insecurities and why he had said what he said. 'Fine.' Pansy stood up from the couch and walked with me towards our room. 'Why did you forgive him?' Pansy asked the moment we entered our room. 'He had his reasons for saying what he said.' 'Babe, he said horrible stuff to you. What reason could he have given for saying that stuff? What reason was good enough to forgive him that easily?' 'Pansy, I ignored him the whole day.' 'So, what? It's not enough to get back at him.' 'I don't want to get back at him. He told me exactly why he attacked my insecurities and I'm not mad anymore. I'm still not okay with what he said, but I do forgive him for saying all of it.' 'Just tell me why, Y/N.' 'Okay, but you can't tell the others.' 'Anything you tell me, stays between us , babe.' 'Okay. He failed his charms exam and...' 'HE FAILED AN EXAM?!' She was screaming very loudly and I didn't want the others to hear. 'PANSY! Scream it louder if you can!' 'Sorry. But, he treated you like that, because he failed an exam?!' Pansy said on a lower volume. 'Yes. But, that's not the whole reason.' 'Are there more bad reasons?' 'Pansy, just hear me out.' I was getting frustrated. Pansy is very protective of me and she's my best friend. But, right now, she's not listening to me like a best friend should. 'Sorry, babe. Go on. I'll keep quiet until you're finished.' The words she used could've been picked up as sarcasm, but she was completely serious. Pansy had noticed that she didn't let me talk, so she made the hardest promise she could make and that was staying quiet, when she had a lot to say. 'Thank you, Pans. Mattheo failed his charms exam. In his father's world that's the easiest and most useless class there is, so failing that, would be a disgrace in his father's eyes. He was scared of what his father might think and about being the laughing stock with the Deatheaters. He was insecure and didn't know how to handle it. So, when I came into the room and showed my insecurities he attacked me and my insecurities with words, to show himself that he wasn't insecure or at least not as insecure as me. It's still not okay for him to have said those things, but I can understand where he was coming from. He had a bad day and his insecurities took over and I know how that can feel. So, why would I stay mad at him, when it could've been me on the other end?' 'But, it wasn't you on the other end.' That was the only thing Pansy said. 'But, Pans. I could've been there. What if one day I snap, because I'm sad, angry, scared and insecure all at once? I say some messed up shit to you. Would you then just leave me behind, even after I apologised?' 'No, ofcourse not.' 'Then, why should I do that to Mattheo? He had a bad moment, but it doesn't make him a bad person. He apologised and explained his insecurities to me and I forgave him for it. So, please be on my side instead of just against his.' 'Okay, if you've forgiven him, then I'll forgive him too. But, he's on probation. If he does anything like that to you again, I'll kill him.' 'Deal.' I said while laughing. I know she'll never actually kill him, but the thought of her trying to protect me, brought a smile to my face. 'Now, where did you leave Mattheo?' Pansy said with a serious face. 'Well, he was scared of you, so he didn't want to be here for this talk. And now, he's setting up a date for us and he's picking me up at 9pm.' 'Smart man. You do know, that 9pm is in about 10 minutes?' 'What, Pansy? 10 minutes? Shoot, we got to hurry up then. Can you please help me pick out an outfit?' 'I already have one in mind, babe.' Pansy walked over to my closet and came out with a ankle length, flowy emerald skirt with a black tanktop and cute low black heels.

I had put the outfit on and looked in the mirror. 'This outfit is amazing, Pans. Thank you.' I said. I really loved the outfit. 'The outfit is only amazing, because it's on you. So, thank you for being so pretty.' I blushed a little because of her compliments, but then I heard a knock on my door. I looked at the time and it was exactly 9 pm. I walked over to the door and opened it. 'Wow, you look... just wow.' Mattheo said when he saw me. 'Thank you, babe.' I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. He grabbed my hand and asked me if I was ready. 'Yes.' Is all I could say. I couldn't wait to see what he had planned. 'Mattheo, can I talk to you for a second, before you guys leave.' Pansy said before we left. Mattheo immediately looked over at me with fear in his eyes. 'It'll be fine. Now go, I'll wait outside.' Eventhough I said it would be fine, I was not at all sure it would be, because I didn't know what Pansy would say to Mattheo. Luckily only a minute passed before Mattheo was back outside with me. 'Are you ready, love?' Mattheo asked me after he grabbed my hand again. 'Are you seriously not going to tell me, what Pansy wanted to talk to you about?' I said with a raised eyebrow. 'No, I think I would like to keep that to myself.' Mattheo said with a smirk. 'You know I can read your mind to find out, right?' 'And you know, that I know occlumency and that it would be hard for you to penetrate my mind to find out, right?' 'Just tell me, Mattheo. Or I'll get back to being mad at you.' I said with furrowed brows. 'You're cute when you're mad, so I don't mind it.' 'Ughh, you're annoying.' 'I know.' Mattheo said cocky. I knew I wasn't going to get it out of him if I kept asking him, so I tried something different. I was going to give him the silent treatment. Maybe that would work. 'So, are you ready, love?' Mattheo said next. I didn't respond, but just started walking. I didn't know where I needed to go, so I was hoping he would follow me and lead me in the right direction. 'Oh, so you're giving me the silent treatment?' Mattheo said with a small laugh following. Mattheo had caught up with me and was indeed leading me the right way. 'I really hope you will like the date I set up.' Mattheo said with a small hint of doubt in his voice. I looked up at him, wanting to reassure him, that I'll love it, but also not wanting to let him win by talking again. 'And since you won't talk, I'll try my best to fill up the silence with anything I can think off to talk about. Because, I would hate it if you felt bored or awkward if neither of us spoke.' Why does this man know me so well? Because, I usually indeed feel awkward if I hang out with people and nobody says a word. I tried my best to stay silent, but it kept on getting harder and harder. 'You know, Pansy is very protective of you. All she said to me, was to not hurt you again, because she would otherwise kill me. And the way she said it... literal chills.' Mattheo said while a visible shiver went through his body. I laughed out loud. 'Aha, I got some noise out of you.' Mattheo said with a smile on his face. 'Yeah, well you're scared of Pansy, so that was worth a laugh.' I had broken my silent treatment, now that Mattheo had told me what Pansy wanted to talk to him about. 'I know I said, I think you're cute when you're mad, and eventhough you are, I'd rather have you be happy.' 'Me too, babe. Now tell me, where are we going for our date?' I still didn't know where we were walking to, but the moment we reached the stairs to the Astronomy Tower I knew, that we would go up them.

Once we reached the top of the Astronomy Tower, there were cozy blankets and pillows laying on the ground. It was a beautiful night outside and Mattheo made full use of it. He made the Astronomy Tower a cozy place for us to go stargazing. We layed down next to eachother and watched the stars for hours, while laughing and talking with eachother. 'Okay, I have to ask you something, Mattheo?' I sat up for the question. I had been curious for the answer the whole day, but I hadn't asked him yet. 'What is it, love?' Mattheo sat up and looked a bit serious at me. 'I have wanted to ask you all day, but I didn't know how or when, but what happened to your jaw?' His jaw had a big purple bruise on it and it had to have happened sometime between our conversation yesterday and breakfast this morning. Mattheo started laughing a bit and I didn't know why, so I raised my eyebrow at him. 'Umm... well... After you walked out yesterday, Theo walked into the room. I told him what I had said to you and he punched me for hurting you. And he's is stronger than you might think.' 'Theo did this?' 'Yes.' Mattheo said. 'Oh my god. Well, I instantly like him a bit better.' I said with a smile. 'Hey!' Mattheo responded offended, before moving towards me and trapping me underneath him. 'Sorry, babe.' I said while laughing a bit. 'Sure you are. Now, I might have to punish you for saying that.' Mattheo said, before dipping his head and placing his mouth on top of mine. We started making out, but we were soon interrupted by Filch's voice. 'Is there someone up there?!' He yelled from the bottom of the stairs. 'Shit!' I exclaimed. We had been up here for a couple hours and didn't keep track of the time, which meant that we should've been back in our dormrooms a while ago. 'Quick grab the blankets, I'll grab the pillows and then we'll get out of here.' Mattheo said. 'How? Filch is on the stairs. How do you plan on getting out of here?' Filch was now making his way up the stairs and I could hear him mumbling something about students out of bed. 'Just follow me.' Is all Mattheo said. I grabbed the blankets and he grabbed the pillows and we somehow went into a space I had no idea existed. It was a hiding space underneath the top of the stairs, which you couldn't see from the top room or the stairs. We stayed there until Filch was in the room at the top of the Astronomy Tower and then we ran as quietly as we could down the stairs and back to the Slytherin commonroom. 'We made it, babe.' I said once we closed the door of the commonroom behind us. 'Yes, we did. Now, let's go back to my room and finish what we started up there.' Mattheo said with a smirk, before leading me towards his room for a bit more fun.

Over the next couple of weeks Mattheo and I spend a lot of time together. Today, we were studying in the library together for the upcoming Defense Against the Dark Arts exam. We had both been focused on our own books and notes, when I felt some eyes staring at me. I looked up and saw Mattheo staring at me with a smirk on his face. 'Do I want to know what you're thinking?' I asked him with a smile on my face. 'I can show you what I'm thinking.' Mattheo was sitting next to me and was now moving his chair closer. He placed his lips on my neck and started kissing it. I moved my head to the side and closed my eyes to enjoy his touch for a second. Only then I reminded myself of the exam that we were supposed to be studying for. 'Babe, I have to study.' It came out more breathily than I wanted to. 'I'll stop if you tell me you're not enjoying this.' Mattheo responded in between the kisses. 'I'm... oh my god... You know, I'm enjoying this... But, I can't...' I couldn't get the rest of my sentence out, because Mattheo's lips had moved from my neck to my jaw and then my mouth. I pulled back a little. 'Mattheo...' 'Yes, love?' He responded before placing another kiss on my mouth. I pulled back again and placed a hand on his chest. 'I really need to study and I can't focus with you like this.' 'Then don't focus and just enjoy it for a second.' 'Babe, I'm serious. Give me another hour of studying and then you can have me any way you want.' 'Any way, huh?' Mattheo said with a smirk on his face. I was going to regret saying that, but I didn't care. 'Yes...' 'Deal.' And just like that, Mattheo moved back to his chair and went on studying like nothing happened.

The moment the clock had ticked it's last second of the hour, Mattheo grabbed my stuff and my hand. I had no time to think about what was happening, before I was dragged back to his dormroom. Any stress I might have had about the Defense Against the Dark Arts exam, was soon made forgotten about by Mattheo. It was one of the best nights we had had together and it was all worth waiting that extra hour for.
