"hey..wake up"
Jiwoo eyes flutter open as she heard the voice and feel a hand slip around her waist. She turn around and see Jake smiling making her sigh in relief.
"what time is it?"
She ask as she stretch her arms and sit on her bed.
"6 something"
he answer which make the girl surprise as it's too early, he usually wake her up at seven.
"it's still early.."
she utter making the guy sigh before he look down and lift his hand to his nape.
"about that—"
"Kang Jiwoo"
Jake explaination got cut as someone open the bedroom door which reveal Heeseung who just call her.
"Hee? why are you here?"
Jiwoo ask in surprise as the guy pop up at Jake's too early in the morning. the said guy step closer to the bed and sit on the edge.
"Dami said.."
"her dad didn't went home"
"and it has been two days"
He explains which make Jiwoo shock as she knew it wasn't her, she glance at Jake in worry as she slowly get out of her bed as she slept in her room yesterday.
"then why are you here?"
"you supposed to stay with Dami"
Jiwoo reply making Heeseung sigh.
"She's okay, she don't really care about him"
"but if we found him dead"
"then Sunghoon's life is on edge now"
Heeseung continue making Jiwoo widen her eyes as the realisation hits her. She want to protect everyone near her but she can't think of something that she can do to guarantee their safety for now.
"Jiwoo didn't do anything, it's Lee Hanbin"
"He knew you didn't kill him"
Jake interupt as he is worried if Heeseung have a slight suspicion towards the girl besides him. Heeseung look at him with a wide eyes before glancing at Jiwoo in worried.
"Jake knew.."
"he's the one who stop me"
"and Hanbin heard everything, it's impossible to not let him now anything"
Jiwoo say as she look down to her hand but Jake reach for them and hold it tight while caressing it with his thumbs. Jiwoo glance at him and let out a sigh.
Heeseung also let out a sigh before getting his phone from his back pocket and type something in his notes before showing it to the girl to read.
is Sunghoon gonna be save there?
She look up to the guy face, hesitating before giving a nod to him making him confused. Why did she hesitate to answer? is it because she's not sure of it? or the culprit..
[ Jay's Apartment ]
It's Sunghoon off day today so after Jake and Jiwoo get a few things done at the station, they drove there right away.
Jiwoo wrote something on her notepad before passing it to Jake who's beside her. It's about Hanbin asking for a meet up on 16th July, 1 in the morning, on her apartment rooftop.
"On the night of July 15th.. Heeseung and Dami supposed to held their engagement,right?"
Jiwoo question to make sure she's not wrong, Sunghoon and Jake nod to her as an answer. That's right, they've planned the engagement since April and probably will held their wedding on the next February.
they wanted to postpone the event but everything has been settled as it is less than a week away so they've no choice but go on with it.
even though Dami don't care about her father presence but she know that she need to respect the other family member.
"who'll be there?"
she ask more.
"both families, us, Jarin, Seungmin and a few of Dami friends from college"
"there won't be a big crowds for sure, around 50 people"
Sunghoon answer making her nod.
"will you go?"
Jake ask, Jiwoo know damn well that the question isn't about the engagement but the meeting after. Jiwoo look down before running her hand through her hair as she sigh and nod.
"then let's go together"
he continue making Jiwoo look up immediately before shaking her head vigorously.
"Hee's engagement, of course we'll go together"
She say while frowning. she about to argue with the guy non-verbally but his phone rings making all of us look at it.
"yes?"
he ask as soon as as she answer the call. a few seconds later, his facial expression's change as he change his gaze to the girl.
