Your hands gently pet the top of Moon's head, brushing the fluffy tail of his nightcap to the side so you could see his red eyes, staring intently past you and at the wall.

"Do you want to talk about it baby?" You asked, softly into the quiet room.

"No." Was his quick and short reply. You couldn't deny feeling a little disappointed, but at the same time he had always respected you not wanting to talk about certain things. So you kept rubbing the top of his head gently in the dark room.

"Okay." You agreed, letting him know that you understood and if this was all he wanted to do then you were more than willing to just lay in bed with him and hold him. You had been informed of his...incident the second you got back from your little miniature vacation. Parts and Services didn't find anything though. Sun and Moon had been going to parts and services a lot recently, but they haven't found anything.

That didn't sit right with you though, because you knew Moon. If he said something was wrong and that he didn't mean to, then you believed him. Something was wrong. It reminded you a little bit of spireling, knowing that something was wrong with you but not being able to afford the help you needed. Except in this case help was supposed to be right down the hall and they couldn't find anything.

"You should get some sleep, Starlight." He whispered, quietly into the dark room.

"I don't want to leave you alone like this." You replied gently. You didn't want to go to sleep if he wasn't going to shut down all night, and for some strange reason it seemed like that was exactly what he wanted to do.

"I'm fine Starlight." He huffed, and you couldn't help but to think,

No, no you arn't.

"Okay...you can be fine sweetheart and I'll still be right here for you." You replied, pulling him towards you in the dark.

"...I don't want to reboot around you." He eventually admitted, after an unknown amount of time laying quietly in the dark, "But I'm too selfish to suggest not having sleep overs on the nights that you work."

"Moon, I don't think that it's selfish baby." You said, feeling disappointed when he pulled away from you sighing, like you did the wrong thing. You knew deep down that he wasn't punishing you for pushing, but it was hard not to feel the echoes of old hurt. It was easy to push them down though, because it was an irrational hurt and you could see that the intention behind him moving away had been the opposite. He didn't want to hurt you.

"It is." He said, sitting up on the edge of the bed. "I came online with my hands already around his throat, and all I can think about is what if it had been you. What if I came online in the middle of the night, with my hands wrapped around your delicate throat...or worse, my claws sunk into your skin."

"I'm not trespassing." You tried to assure him.

"Neither was Donnivan the first time my system flagged him as an intruder." Moon shot back, his face turning to look at you sharply before softening. "I...Sorry. I'm so sorry." He whispered out. You slid forward to sit next to him in the dark without reaching out to him.

"It's okay baby...I mean...It's not, I know it's not, but it's okay to feel scared and frustrated about it, when you know that something is wrong, but nothing is being done about it." You started to try and soothe, but he sprung up off the bed, pacing before his red eyes turned boring into yours.

"What if there isn't?" He hissed, sounding on the edge of desperation.

"What do you mean, Moon?" You asked, wanting so badly to understand so that you could potentially offer some kind of balm for wherever he was hurting.
