Y/N looked at Yushiro nervously as she awkwardly went to pet the hair of the little boy.
"Hi there, little boy...! Uh, who are you...?"
The boy looked up at her in disbelief.
"Y-You don't remember me, Y/N-nee...?"
"Of course she doesn't, Rui. She's only a reincarnation," Yushiro said, rolling his eyes.
Rui huffed before looking back at Y/N.
"I'm Rui! And I'm your little brother!" He said happily.
"Little brother...? But we look nothing alike...!" She said in confusion.
"That's because you guys aren't real siblings. Rui just says that because he spent most of his life without a family," Yushiro added.
Y/N looked at Rui with sympathy.
"Is that so? Then I'll gladly be your older sister!"
She picked Rui up and held him in the air.
Rui giggled and flapped his arms.
Y/N smiled, already feeling attached to the small spider demon.
"Ugh, you guys are so gross! Stop being so sappy!" Yushiro demanded, turning away.
"Hm? What's wrong, Yushiro-nii? Are you jealous of Y/N-nee?" Rui asked.
'No, I'm jealous of you, Rui...' Yushiro thought, looking away.
"Aw! It's okay to be jealous, Yushiro~!" Y/N said playfully, reaching up to pat Yushiro's hair.
"H-Hey! Stop that!" Yushiro yelled.
He didn't make any attempt to stop her, though.
His usually pale face was red.
He seemed to enjoy her touch.
"Y/N-nee! Pat my hair, too!" Rui whined.
Y/N giggled and patted Rui's hair too.
Yushiro huffed and crossed his arms.
'Lucky little brat...'
