Ace's POV

I sit in my newly established "home." Oh wait sorry I mean prison-hospital of bull fucking shit. I lost many things important to me at the CDC. CDC means Crescent Dust Ceremony by the way. I haven't been able to move from this hospital bed unless Ivory, or one of the many disgusting nurses gives me a pass.

Here's small list of what I lost:

1. My wings, like actually I never really used them so what's the point right? I was trying to be more human anyways.

2. My freedom to talk and walk when I please. I've been taking a tone of meds, that mess up my system and bring back past wounds. So every single time I got chocked is basically coming back to me now in spurts of a sore throat or sometimes coughing up blood.

3. My right arm. This was partially the fault of being unconscious, and stray acid basically melting it off before any survivors were brought to the hospital. Whoops.

4. My abillity to see other's heat signatures. Not really important as of right now but still. It might come back it's not like I'm going hunting anyways.

5. Most importantly, yes this should've been number one on the list. I lost half my team.

6. Pst Copper is the most important thing... I never did ask her out.

I've been writing my life's tragic accidents that took place in the past but out of boredom, I figured; "Present time is the most important thing to write about since you can't fix the past." Oh okay time to stop writing Ivory's visiting.

Ivory at this time walked into the room, she unlike I wasn't hospitalized. She was perfectly fine, besides the fact she went slightly suicidal and jittery. don't worry about it I'm sure she's at the least fine now. "How are the nurses treating you?" She asks wearing her family outfit that was now slightly altered to look more rustic. "Disgusting." I say blankly. Ivory laughs, "I tried getting the most attractive ones if it makes you feel better fly guy." I roll my eyes at my cousin, "You do not know what attractive is, and do not call me that when I can't fucking fly." Ivory smiles holding her hands up in surrender, "Okay I'm sorry." I roll my eyes, "You should be." Ivory crosses her arms, "Whatever..." she then walks out of the room for a minute returning with a black suitcase, "I got you a gift." She walks over to me not handing me the case, but helping me out of the hospital bed. "I didn't say I wanted to go on a walk around this shitty place today-" I spurt, as she cuts me off, "Shut up and follow me."

Ivory's POV

I lead my cousin down the hallway, getting sick of his grumpy-ness. We were suppose to be moving forward, finding the rest of our team, and possibly finding team TEAL. I shouldn't worry about Lukas or his sister but I'm still not as bad as Ace here. I lead him to a terrace garden on the roof of the hospital. urging him to sit down. "Fine." he says with more attitude watching the sky with some sort of ease of fascination. I knew how much he just wanted out of the hospital. Sitting beside him I open the suit case.

"This is a prosthetic arm, fully functional with a retractable aura powered crossbow, and aura arrow generator- are you even listening?" I question tilting my head annoyed. "You know how much that will act like a leach if I don't fully recover." he comments staring at the sky still, his face looking glum in the hospital rags. "I know, I figured it would be incentive to work harder, like your mother would've wanted-" I start covering up my careless mistake. "No." He says, "You don't know my mother. She's dead. Just like Copper and Lukas will be. Just like Team TEAL will be. Just like the Human and Faunus population will be." he crosses his arms glaring at the prosthetic arm, "How much did that cost, I don't like gifts and I'd need to repay you for it." I glare annoyed, "I made it from hand... Ace as soon as you get out of this hospital we'll go look for them I promise." I say closing the suitcase. "Ace, you know what they say-"

Ace is silent for a few minutes playing with his hair that now touched his shoulders. He needed a haircut too. "Nothing is fair in love or war." he says, "Thus if you move forward your destination is set, on a path of success and-" I laugh slightly, he was the worst one out of our team when it came to using words, which explains how he never really talked to anyone unless he was on good terms with them, or he was interested in them. "Ace I promise, but don't get to excited. You have a week of waiting. Practice using your Aura." We both stand up knowing my time to go back to work was here, I walk him back to his room. Helping him back into bed, covering him up, and placing the suitcase beneath his bed, after that I go back to work for more research, I needed to pull through for a cause for once in my life.
