???'s POV

I pull out the rifle, as I sit high in what seemed to be an oak tree at the time, but it seemed to dissolve into a birch tree the longer I sat there. I looked through the blue woods, looking for the glowing prey. I was stalking a beautiful, blue buck, but I lost it. Eternal darkness with very little light, was what I was preparing for. I continued my rest on watching, letting my hair blow around my face, just listening to the silence as someone plops down beside me. I keep my eyes closed loosing holding onto my- the rifle.

"We have I believe, 2 more yards." It rings.

I hold the rifle tightly, "Yes, I know." I voice, opening my eyes to look at the glowing being, which now seemed gold instead of the usual red color.

"I'm aware I stick out like a sore thumb." It says shrugging, with wisps of glowing fog shifting behind it. "But I'm always fast to kill anything."

I chuckle, "Unlike you I take pride in my kills." I start jumping from towering tree to towering tree in unison with my companion.

"As you should," It laughs, "Shhhhh....." it whispers stopping me; pointing to the buck I was tracking earlier. Standing still I hold up my rifle... I mean the rifle. Aiming it at the prey.

Instructing me, my companion's voice rings in my head, "If you shoot it through the eye, it will go through the brain. Not damaging any of the precious meat." I shoot successfully. White glowing blood gushing from the instant kill wound. I'm the first to jump down as my companion follows me. Lightning bugs of various colors buzzing around us, we got to our kill before any other predators could.

My companion claps, smiling with the dream-like white smile. "That's your 25th successful kill."

I nod. "Hopefully it will be that last one before we're returned to our normal states." I say clipping my rifle to my back, and rubbing the back of my neck.

My companion stiffens, either from what I said, or how much blood that my kill lost. The companion doesn't reply to what I hoped for, "I need to get going..." the voice mutters, "Take as much of your kill as you can. I'll hopefully see you later."

About to scream don't go, the golden companion teleports away in a wisp of warm colors.

I take the duel blades I acquired earlier, and start portioning the kill. Yawning I back it up in the deer skin sack I brought. I look at the scenery again, the dark blue leaves, and grass. The black dirt on my jeans. The white or grey trunks of the trees. The blue moon. The white blood spilled on the grass. I breath in the smell of the fresh air; before doing the same as my companion and teleporting away, in the foggy color of what I think was orange as well.

Ivory's POV

Temperence decided to spend the night working with me at my desk. We didn't really talk the whole time. I was just filling out more papers as Temperence decides to share and idea with me. "Did you look outside of Vale for clues?" she asks, rubbing her eyes tired as well since it was like 2 in the morning. I raise my eyebrows, "I've looked in Vale and Vacuo for clues... not the other two places." I say yawning. She corrects me, "Atlas and Mistrial." she says, "We need to go to one of the two, and find stuff there."

I yawn some more, "But, that means we would have to leave our captive here... we could address him with questions on Atlas and Mistrial?" I suggest. She shoves me playfully, "Don't call my asshole brother a captive, but yes we can ask him in the morning." She laughs. I roll my eyes, "It is already morning." She glares at me. "Okay after we get some sleep." We both get up. I show her to her shared guestroom with Aiden; knowing she doesn't have the house memorized. Then going to my dorm for sleep.
