Ace's POV

I stand beside my hospital bed; bored and standing there watching my heart meter."Ace Aero please sit down," Voices a nurse who walked past my door, I turn around to tell her to shut up but she was already gone. "Figures just another group of people that can't do their jobs." I mutter referring to Ivory's body guards on that horrible day; but now the mass amount of doctors and nurses too. I grab the prosthetic arm from it's suitcase under the hospital bed. "It looks like shit Ivory I hope you know that." I say still not wanting the "Gift."

I somehow manage to put it on myself with only one arm to do so. Attempting to bend it to inhuman angles and failing, I sit back down on the bed as stare at the ceiling, as people walk into the room. "Ace you have visitors," The same nurse voices, she walks out of the room as I look at the quests. Ivory stood beside Temperence, I glare, "What the fuck are you doing here."

Temperence rolls her eyes, "Stop that, I thought you were better than Evan." Ivory laughs slightly, "Ace you're allowed out early you should thank me." she says. I cross my arms. "Does my face express how much I care about this situation?" tilting my head annoyed. "It explains how much you're trying to not care." Temperence says also crossing her arms. "Who made you leader?" I mock. She goes to comment, "Ace you're the weakest person in the room I wouldn't bother opening your mouth." Ivory snaps.

I stand up ripping IV needles from my real arm. "Do you want to go!" I shout, holding my fists up. Ivory now crosses her arms too, "Ace really?" she says glaring. "I'm fucking done with this shit!" I flail both of my arms in a sign of go away. "Ace, I promised you freedom, come on don't argue." Ivory voices again taking a few steps closer to me. "I don't care!" I say turning away from her. She grabs my real arm and puts band-aids over the IV holes. "You do care now come on your wasting Temp's time." she voices, "Get dressed your clothes are in the changing room down the hall. She and Temperence walk out of the room.

Temperence's POV

We waited for Ivory's team mate for a nice 15 minutes of my life I'm never getting back."Ivory, what are these leads your talking about?" I ask, remembering she told me she had info before she dragged me out of the quest-room. She quietly hands me a paper, which was a semi-large bill; reading off of what she was being billed for I know why she woke me. "You think this will lead to Lukas?" I ask. Ivory nods as Ace come out from the changing room

"You cut your hair?" Ivory comments towards Ace as I hand her the bill back. "Yeah." He mutters crossing his arms annoyed. He was wearing a v-cut

t-shirt, with blue jeans, black combat boots, and a grey leather jacket that faded into sky blue then into navy blue. "What were your injuries?" I ask curious to be working with them again. Ace raises his eyebrows,turning his head and looking away from us again.

Ivory gives us an uncomfortable laugh, "First off, let's go get some brunch, shall we?" She offers. "What about second off?" Ace comments, done pouting. Ivory rolls her eyes, "Then we're catching up." she says as I chuckle. Ace raises his eyebrows, "Then we get to go out for ice cream! and then everything will be okay!" he says sarcastically. "Then we test you too see how useless you've become?" I comment towards Ace. Ace sticks out his tongue. "We can get you icecream if you want but, yes Temp is right we're going to test you." Ivory explains, "And then we're going to go on a mission.Even if you're to wimpy to continue." Ace shrugs as Ivory and I lead him out of the hospital.

Ivory's POV

"How's your food guys?" I ask, finished with my salad. "It would be 200 % better if you would SHUT UP." Ace says stuffing his face full of food. Temperence glares at Ace, "It's wonderful thanks, hey I forgot to tell you-" she says as Ace cuts her off, "BOTH OF YOU NEED TO SHUT UP." Ace says crossing his arms with his mouth full. Temp continues, "Aiden's meeting us here, he's down with his small family business." she flips off Ace. I nod, "Just be glad he's not missing too."

I take Ace's food away from him, "Ace if you eat too much you'll get sick. Now tell Lukas's sister about your injuries as I- throw this away." I say getting up with a look of disgust on my face. Ace leans back in his chair looking pissed, "First you took away my drink; and now you're taking away my food!" he shouts towards me who was throwing his junk away, "Okay on a "friendly basis" what should I tell you?" he says towards Temperence. Temperence finishes her tea and food, as she replies I sit back down at the table of four they were sitting at. "Tell me as much as you need to tell me... Just don't like flip your shit or anything okay?" She says stretching while in her chair.

Ace shifts uncomfortably, "You would've already known this if Ivory would've invited you to the CDC... but anyways, there was a massive attack on it. By the White Fang out of everyone- I mean Copper's parents weren't there since we got them out of the mind control bull- I mean, I ran into some old friends right before Ivory got reinforcements, I'm going to call them Rabbit's foot and Wolf-man." Temperence rolls her eyes, "Use the very few words you know-" she says as Ace continues, "Rabbit foot and Wolf-Man were some uh, old thieving partners I had, after they broke Copper's face, and threw acid in Lukas's they decided to-" Ace looked like he was about to vomit. "What to say, somehow messed up my aura while cutting out my wings, and taking Copper away in the mess."

I sigh, " Stray acid sprayed around the place took his left arm. I'm glad I didn't invite your team." Temperence nods, "I'm sorry to hear that you lost your girlfriend-" Ace interrupts, "SHE'S NOT MY GIRLFRIEND I NEVER ASKED HER OUT!" The cafe become quiet for a split second, before Temperence continues, "I'm sorry... but we'll find them I promise." Just as she says that someone walks into the cafe. Temperence stands up greeting the person, then gesturing to her table partners she says, "This is Aiden I'm sure you remember him?" Aiden takes down his hood which was sea blue, rubbing the back of his neck tiredly. Ace comments, "Fish boy with the dolphin mother, yep I remember."

Aiden sighs, "Nice to see your still an asshole, you haven't lost your charisma." Besides of the added cape, he still looked the same, Black medium length hair, red eyes, a button down white shirt with black tie, dark blue jeans, and dark grey combat boots. Temperence giggles, "He'll be helping us, like me he was looking for the rest of our team." I sigh again, "Okay, let's get going then- forget about testing Ace, we have a bigger group now." Ace stands greasing his hair back with the water the replaced his booze, "This is going to suck." The four of them walk out of the cafe. Their fates restricting them to search for their missing team mates.
