It was finally Monday. The whole weekend was alright I guess, except for the fact that yesterday, Megan surprisingly showed up at my house in the morning to get her things from the sleepover, and ruined my morning sleep, but oh well.
After I got ready for school and walked there (I never felt like driving), I went inside the torture infested building and went to my locker. There were a bunch of people that were unreasonably talkative, especially the girls. I glanced around everyone who walked by me.
I continued digging inside my locker to fetch my class books, until Lindsey approached me, her black hair slinging around her neck and slapping against her back. She was known for her really thick hair.
“Oh.My.Gosh! Did you hear?” She suddenly asked with a smile plastered on her face.
“The school finally granted us the new set of computers we need?” I guessed, slamming my locker door shut and walking off to class, she followed me.
“No, guess again!”
I groaned and rolled my eyes, “Um, Claire happened to be at her cheerleading competition and fell on her face while preforming a flying stunt of some sort?”
Lindsey started tittering, “I wish.” She finally snorted and glanced at her cell phone, “Guess again.” She urged, chewing on her lip impatiently, enthusiastic at the same time.
“Lindsey I’m tired of guessing. Just go ahead and tell me already, my god.” I groaned out.
“Okay, okay! Geez. There’s this new transferred student! I think I’m in love with him, Cecilia! He has it all. He’s gorgeous, he’s mysterious…totally the typical faller.” She went on, she seemed like she had gotten lost in a daze for a few short seconds.
“I thought your definition of ‘typical faller’ was a guy who had a British accent, and wore Hollister?” I emphasized ‘typical faller’, smiling at her tantalizingly.
“I was over guys like that a month ago, Lia.”
“Yeah, yeah. So where is this guy?” I rolled my eyes, skeptical about the guy being as gorgeous as Lindsey said he was. I even doubt he’s cute, probably just another not-hot foreign exchange student that girls go gaga over only because he’s from a different country.
“I don’t know, he’s probably in the office right now. Oh my gosh, can you say love at first sight?” She continued on as we went up the stairs.
I breathed out a sigh, shaking my head from side to side. “Hey, I’ll meet you in class later. I have to meet Dylan at his locker to get my homework that he copied.” She waved goodbye to me, and just as she was about to walk off, she turned back to me, “If I see the guy, I’ll show you him. No doubt about it.” She winked and left me for good as I continued to walk straight ahead, headed to math.
As soon as I got to math, I sat down at my usual seat, greeting Jenna with a simple wave and waving at everybody else. “Take out your textbooks and turn to page four hundred and twenty-seven; we’re going to be going over parabolas for today.” Mrs. Sharp explained, taking out her blue expo marker so we could go over the problems.
Just as I bent over on my seat to reach into my tote to take out a mechanical pencil, I couldn’t help but to overhear what a few girls were saying nearby. They were the friends of Claire, so I really didn’t talk or like them.
“Oh my god. I saw that new kid everyone’s talking about. Can you say, Hottie?” Jessica said aloud, fanning herself as if she were hot.
“Hottie!” Amber yelled, the dumb one of the three.
