I woke up to sunshine peering down on me. My eyes were open, but my body was still in the same position as I slept. When I sat up, I noticed Matt on the couch, putting on his shoes.

I yawned and moaned, and he looked up with a surprised smile on his gorgeous face. "Good morning." He said with an innocent smirk. I smiled back and nodded in acknowledgement, swinging my legs over my bed.

He walked over to me and sat down beside me on the bed, and we sat close.

I darted my eyes from side to side awkwardly, and silence filled the room.

"Um, how long were you um, awake?" I stuttered.

"Just long enough to watch you sleep." He laughed out. I laughed back as well, my cheeks turning hot. I sense that I was probably blushing. Darn.

"So, um, I see you're already ready for school." I assumed with pointed eyebrows.

"Ah, yep. I'm already dressed. My things are in my hummer." It was silent between us again, and I couldn't help but to feel a strange vibe between the two of us. But then again, wouldn't it be strange to you too if your ex was sitting next to you on your QUEEN size bed after spinning the night in your room? I think so.

"So, you're still coming to my place, right? Saturday evening?" He suddenly made sure of.

I nodded my head, knowing that I probably looked a hot mess. I never look good in the mornings.

"So, now that you're fired, do you...I don't know, have anything to do this afternoon?" He questioned, cocking his eyebrows.

"Nope." I replied. Just as he opened his mouth to make a suggestion probably, I beat him at words before he could say anything. "And NO I will not come to your house."

Matt pouted like a child, which made me giggle. "You didn't even know if I was going to ask that. See, I was going to ask if I could come over here again." He said.

"Matt, you're a senior, which means you'll be off to college in a few weeks since school is almost over. Why can't you just get a job for the time being? Not only will you be occupied in the afternoons so that you wouldn't have to ask me out then, but you'd also be supporting Joseph."

"I do have a job." He darkened his blue eyes at me and I snorted in amusement.

"What? So you consider getting money from your parents once a week a job?"

"Hey, they pay me to not bug them, so it's like a job. Besides, as long as I have money for Joseph, who cares if it's based off of me doing nothing? And Claire doesn't work, so why should I?"

"Because you're the FATHER. You supply and take care of business. I thought you'd know that at the least. I mean, you're eighteen. Start acting like one, you know, instead of trying to get with a girl whose never going to be with you ever again."

Matt raised his eyebrow at me, and a small grin played around the edges of his mouth. He suddenly placed a hand on my thigh, and he scooted closer to me; so close I could feel him breathing against my nose. I blushed even harder at this.

"You won't get with me again? Not even for this...?" He leaned into me slowly and I don't know why, but for some reason, I couldn't get myself to move. So without another second, Matt pressed his lips gently against my own. I widened my eyes for a quick moment and pulled away, a kiss being born between us officially.

Matt smirked at me and bit his lip. I scowled at him playfully and smacked his abs area, and he just smirked even more. "Do that again, Lia." He urged me on.

I grabbed one of my bed pillows and smacked him against the head playfully, and he just placed his hand on his head with his jaw hung loose, like he was shocked. I started laughing, and he quickly grabbed my wrists and pulled me onto him. He laid himself down so that I was now straddling him.
