"Cam?" I asked out in a hiss, scrutinzing him afterwards.
"No, it's the tooth fairy." He said in a sarcastic voice. I narrowed my eyes at him. "Anyway," He initiated, "You haven't told anyone about me and Luke and Meredith, have you?"
"Do you want me to tell?" I tested, cocking an eyebrow.
Cam rolled his eyes, "You know I don't want you to tell, it's just that-"
"Just that you thought I was mad at you guys and so I would be stubborn enough to tell the world your secret?" I finished for him in a mouth full. He nodded awkwardly, cupping the back of his neck with his hand. I rolled my eyes, "Lucky for you, not all humans are stubborn and have big mouths; I, on the other hand, do not hold long grudges."
"Awesome. It's not that we don't want the world to know, I mean, we've been wanting humans to know for quite some time, it's just, we're going through a crisis right now." He raised his eyebrows to hint at the 'crisis'. I mouthed the word 'oh' and he nodded. "So...yeah."
I stared at him with my arms crossed, and he suddenly smiled. He stepped closer to me and there was no way I could back myself away, there was a wall in the way.
"Should I experiment on you again?" He asked. I gave him a look. "Just joking, Cecilia. That's what angels do sometimes, you know? We joke."
"You act like humans can't joke." He could hear the smirk in my voice, which was contagious enough for him to smirk right back.
"So are we cool? I mean, human to angel talk here."
"Yes." I groaned out with a smile.
"Awesome." He chuckled and backed away from me, and as soon as we both left the wall corner together, we bumped right into Matt, who gave us an irate look. Oh crap.
"Matt, hey." I said innocently, knowing this would stir up some drama. "How long have you been standing there?" I suddenly questioned, wanting to know if he's heard any angelic stuff.
"So you're seeing him, Lia?" Matt asked out straight forwardly. I blushed and glanced at Cam.
He looked down at the hallway floors with a smirk on his face, and then he started snickering.
"What's so fucking funny?" Matt asked, practically luring a bunch of students to gather around us, which would stir up more drama. And so students came rushing towards us, being as dramatic as they are. This school has a reputation for being dramatic, I swear.
"I don't think anything's funny." Cam said out, shrugging his shoulders.
"You had better not, Whitaker." Matt threatened, calling Cam by his last name. I shifted my gaze right back to Cam, whose face expression darkened. Clearly he's pissed now. I don't know why, but for some reason, Cam gets super angry when someone brings up his last name.
Suddenly, without warning, Cam had his hands wrapped around Matt's throat. Tension started to rise between the two of them, nervousness started to rise in me, and excitement started to rise in the students surrounding us.
I was so nervous, that I was speechless. Cam pushed Matt against the locker and although Matt is more built than Cam, Cam still had the dominant advantage; or should I say...angel ability/power: Strength. Pure strength.
Matt struggled to take Cam's hands off of him, which is where I thought to step in. "Stop it, you're hurting him." I pushed Cam lightly away, but he didn't budge. It was only when I started panicking that Matt was starting to cough violently. "Stop it! You're choking him!" I yelled this time. The students continued to stare with amusement, and I was wondering why no one was getting a teacher.
