"Cecilia, where are you?" Luke asked in my thoughts, his voice echoing throughout my ears.
I ignored the annoying echoes and tried to focus. "Um, I'm...I'm at Megan's house. Didn't I tell you that already?" I lied out awkwardly, coughing shortly after. I've always been a horrible liar, I tell you.
"You're lying to me. I can sense you not being at a safe place because I can feel it. Where are you really?" He sounded irritated and I groaned loudly, trying not to sound like I was lying still.
"I said I'm at a friend's house! Okay? Why can't you just believe me?"
"Because you'd probably lie just so I could leave you alone, is that correct?" He asked.
I narrowed my eyes at my glowing tattoo, "Can you please stop making my tattoo glow? It's making me blind." I complained sourly.
"Stop changing the subject, Cecilia. Wherever you are, leave. Okay? I sense tons of negative energy around you and I don't feel too good about it."
"Oh, then it must be Claire. Her negative ass is SUCH a pain." I rolled my eyes at my comment. After realizing I was too late to shut myself up, I covered my mouth in shock. Crap! I just blew my cover!
"Claire? Wait, so you're at the hospital?" A shocked voice had echoed through my mind, and I knew Luke was pissed.
"No...I am NOT at the-"
"You lied! I knew it." He said accusingly. I started blushing in anger, totally pissed at myself. I can't do anything right! "Cecilia, get AWAY from the hospital. I don't sense any dark angels in plain sight around you, but there's some type of negative energy coming from someone around you. Something serious. Promise me you'll get out of there."
I could hear someone enter the bathroom, and I knew that the glowing of my tattoo would catch their attention. I groaned and tried to think about something else, "I have to go Luke. Bye."
"Cecilia, listen to me! Why do you never-" Before he could finish his sentence, I blocked him out of my thoughts and I knew that I had cut our communication process because my tattoo had stopped glowing. I sighed with relief; what did Luke mean when he said he sensed a ton of negative energy around me? I got out of the stall.
I met eyes with Matt, and his eyes looked like they went from blue to black. I stared at him with wide eyes; what's he doing in the girl's bathroom?
"Matt..." My voice trailed off and I was frightened. Did he hate me that much? "What...what are you-"
He had then walked towards me and my feet were glued to the floor, like I wasn't able to back away or run pass him. He looked dangerous. Before I could even give myself time to clear my thoughts, Matt wrapped his fingers around my throat and he pushed me against the bathroom walls. He had his hand around my throat, and he pushed me up so that I was in the air against the wall, and he looked up at me with irate eyes. Those weren't his eyes though. I know Matt's eye color, and that's not it!
I started choking, and I started punching his arms. "Wh--aw--you-d-iing?!" I breathed out, suffocating from his grasp, and he just squeezed harder. I closed my eyes tightly; I was too scared to even think about what had come over Matt. My punches on him started to get weaker, and I could feel myself giving up before I actually did. I continued making choking noises, and I gasped in between my weak and soft punches.
A huge smirked played around Matthews' lips, and my eyes started to trigger moisture. I could feel myself on the edge of crying from so much pain. He was about to suffocate me to death, I just know it. I tried to push him off of me, but I couldn't. I was too weak, and like I mentioned before, Matt has a built body and he's strong. I can't compete with his strength...
