𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗢𝗩:

Law woke up gasping and breathing heavily. He was very lucky that Doflamingo was away on a business trip. He has the house for himself for a month! He hasn't been this free in years!

He sat up slowly, grabbing his stuffed polar bear, Bepo, and got out of his room. He knew he wasn't going back to sleep so he decided to take a walk. He kept Bepo with him at all times because it was his special item. Someone special gave it to him before Doflamingo stepped in.

Corazon. How he missed him so much. Bepo was a prize that Cora won for him at the carnival.

Bepo was the only thing that Law had left of him. Bepo was his best friend. He would never leave Bepo alone knowing that the evil man he lived with was not in custody or dead.

He walked out of the door, not without grabbing his keys and locked it.

He decided that he should visit his favourite bridge. The bridge that you could see the whole town from. That's how high the bridge was. His parents used to take him there. Then Cora.

As he was walking with Bepo, he saw someone on the bridge. Huh? I guess someone had the same idea as me. Wait. Law noticed that it wasn't just any ordinary person on the bridge. It was Luffy.

She was on the ledge.

Law laughed to himself, now why on earth could she possibly be on the edge?

Law stopped for a moment. She's not gonna do what he thinks she's gonna do? Is she?

Not even a moment later, he saw Luffy jump.

𝗟𝘂𝗳𝗳𝘆'𝘀 𝗣𝗢𝗩:

Guess this is it for me. I'm gonna jump. I stepped closer to the ledge, feeling the nice ocean breeze on me.

I'll finally get to make everyone proud of me. I'll finally be out of people's hair.

I took a step.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗢𝗩:

Law saw Luffy jump into the ice cold ocean. Time felt like it stopped for a moment. He felt the panic rush inside of him and acted on instinct. He and Bepo ran to the bridge that Luffy jumped from. Law put Bepo inside his jacket and zipped it up. He then jumped in after Luffy.

Luffy sunk like an anchor, just like her adopted father called her when he was trying to teach Luffy how to swim. Another thing I failed at. The thought that went through Luffy's mind. She let her body sink as she went down and down. Feeling the cold ocean blues take her body into oblivion.

She could feel the darkness take over, she suddenly felt sleepy. Mom, I heard that you died when I was little. I can't wait to meet you. I'm sorry if you're disappointed in me.

Law swam deeper and deeper, trying to get to the sinking girl. He grabbed her and threw her over his shoulder. He could tell she was running out of air so he quick, started swimming back to the surface.

He gasped for air once his head poked from beneath the water. He then swam to the side and put Luffy on the ground.

He started chest compressions in hopes for her to breathe again. "Come on, come on..." He kept on pounding on her chest. He heard a crack. "Crap, I broke a rib." he cursed at himself. Whatever makes this girl breathe again.

Then all of a sudden, he heard coughs! Luffy started breathing again! Law turned her onto her side so she wouldn't choke on the water.

Luffy rolled onto her back again and looked up sleepily. "Why?" she sounded like she was crying.

Why? Because you were dying! Law paused for a second.

"Because I want you to live." He wistfully said, frowning at the thought of this happy girl ever dying.

Luffy said nothing back but just looked at him in disbelief. She fell asleep shortly after.

Law, not knowing where Luffy lived, thought to bring her to his house. He picked Luffy up bridal style and walked home. (A/n: Poor Bepo was getting squished in his jacket.)
