Foosha Village being the small town it was, gossiped on a daily basis. So when the news came about that there was an investigation going on about child abuse and neglect... FOOSHA. WENT. NUTS.

That's the annoying part, Law thought, about Foosha Village. Yes, he liked it better than the big city but you can't do anything without the old Christian women talking about you. To be in the middle of a child abuse investigation, having to leave your so-called home, and having a new girlfriend was overwhelming.

However, when Law got to school that next week after taking the rest of the week off, everyone was talking about him. Everyone knows now, Law thought. He was holding hands with Luffy walking through the halls. Everywhere he looked people immediately looked away as if they thought Law couldn't see them talking about him.

Law ducked his head down to look at his shoes as his feet guided him to his first class of the day. Great, P.E. Guess I don't have to worry about anyone seeing my bruises. They already know. Law thought.

"Have a great class." Luffy kissed him, still holding his hands. "I'll see you at lunch, okay?" Luffy had that worried look on her face. She had the same look on her face when Law was spending the rest of that past week laying on her couch watching Netflix.

Law looked so afraid. He would be all alone in that gym class. No one he trusted. He just wanted to stay with Luffy. He would be safe with Luffy.

He tried to put on a smile for Luffy's sake, "Okay," he whispered. "Thanks, I'll try. You too." Law leaned down and gave her a peck on the cheek.

So, that past week when Luffy and Law got home from the sheriff's office and they went home, Law took the rest of the week off because of his mental and physical state. The police were working on it. Law even got a phone call to say that his uncle was in custody and that they had more than enough evidence to put him away for good based of what Law said though the email that he sent the sheriff along with the photos attached to it.

The court date was in a couple of weeks. To say that it very much scared Law was a big understatement. Like, a huge one. Luffy told him that her and her siblings would stand right alongside him. That, in a way, got Law to relax a little. With that plus school stress, plus the town gossip, plus his nightmares and paranoia equaled to an anxious, insomniac teen.

Yeah, Law loved his life.

As his day went on, Law wanted to just go home with each passing minute. Luffy's place really became a new home to Law. He was just loving it. Phys Ed wasn't too much fun. The only reason Law picked that was because he wanted to pick up as many credits as possible and there was no way he would pick drama, or art, or music. He just was not the artistic type. So that just left gym. An easy credit.

Until he's being stared down like a wild animal.

By the time his second period rolled around, he wasn't feeling his best. Maybe I could just go home at lunch? He thought desperately, his head down on his desk.

"Mr. Trafalgar!" Mr. Akainu called him out in class, seeing as he wasn't paying attention. He looked very annoyed.

Law lifted his head from his desk embarrassed. "Yes?" he forced out an answer.

"Tell me what answer six was from Friday's homework."

Crap! I missed Friday! What do I do?

"Uh... sir I didn't do any of the homework from Friday. Or Wednesday or Thursday." Law answered shyly, looking down at his hands that were fiddling with his pencil.
