Today. Today I get to go to Ireland. I get to see Paul. I get to see my best friends and his as well.
The excitement was bursting throughout me. I've been to Ireland once when I was just a girl but it was for three days after my grandmother had passed. I was maybe six years of age.
My bags had been packed since I found out I was able to go. A cab pulled in front of my apartment and I grabbed the briefcase and backpack that held my clothes.
"The airport please," I requested as I got into the cab.
"Yes ma'am." The driver replied. I was messing with my luggage when he responded. I knew that voice.
I raised my head to look into the rear view mirror at the man. It was Paul!
"PAUL!" I yelled, causing him to slam the brakes and swerve. "I am so sorry." I said after we had calmed down.
"Hello darling," he grinned at me in the mirror. "I'm going to be in town for a couple days. I'm going to take you to the airport and I'll meet you in Ireland in two days."
"But, Paul, can't I just stay with you?" I pouted.
He chuckled, "No love, I have business I need to do and things to help my family with. I'm sorry." He frowned.
"Awh. Okay."
By the time the conversation was over we had reached the airport. He walked me all the way to my gate and didn't leave until I boarded.
The plane took off and I started getting nervous. It shook and rattled.
The pilot's voice spread through the plane, "Folks, we've hit some minor turbulence. Keep your belts fastened and stay in your seats. Thank you."
I gripped the arms of my seat as the plane would drop. This was going to be a long flight...
AUTHORS NOTE: So, I don't really have the time to continue this story. I think I'm going to have to abruptly end it within the next couple of chapters... I am so sorry. BUT I was planning on killing off Makayla this chapter, you all got super lucky
