"Paul.. Paul wake up." John was violently shaking me. "Paul, we've got to get going lad. The plane leaves in two hours."
"Two hours? You could've let me sleep another thirty minutes maybe even an hour." I complained.
"Get your lazy ass up Paul." He ordered.
I rolled out of the bed and grabbed some clothes. As I walked to the bathroom there was a knock on the front door.
"Hey Katie." I heard John say, "Hello Callie."
George and Ringo were lucky those two don't have jobs. But it just means Makayla's more responsible, I guess.
I walked over to the phone because I needed to tell her we were leaving soon and that I'd call her when we got to Ireland.
"Who are you calling?" George asked.
"Makayla," I turned back to the telephone.
"Lad, it's like three o'clock in the morning. She's asleep."
"Oh well." I dialed her number and it rang for a while.
"WHY THE HELL ARE YOU CALLING AT THREE IN THE FUCKING MORNING?!" She shouted before I could say anything.
"Good morning to you too, love." I chuckled.
"Oh, Paul, I'm sorry." She got really quiet and I had to force my laugh to stay inside.
"It's fine love. I just wanted to tell you that we're leaving for our flight and I'd call you once we land safely." I explained.
"Okay,"
"Is it okay if I come by and see you before I leave?" I kind of begged.
"Um, I guess. But I'm staying in my pj's so don't judge me." I laughed.
"It's not like I haven't seen you in them before." I chuckled.
"Yeah, well, these are my crappy pj's that my grandma made me. They look ridiculous." She laughed on the other end of the line.
"Well, we're fixing to leave so I'll be there soon." I smiled.
"Okay, bye."
I hung up and went to get my bags. As we piled into the town car Timothy greeted us.
"Hello lads," He was too happy for it to be 3 a.m.
"Hi," we grunted.
"Any stops on the way?" He asked.
"N-"
"Yes, we've got to stop at Makayla's." I said quickly.
"Is she joining us?" John asked.
"No, I just want to see her one more time before we leave."
"Awh," Katie and Callie said as I felt my cheeks redden. "Paulie, that's sweet!" Katie pinched my cheek before I could smack her hand away.
We drove over there within five minutes and I was out in a flash. I went to knock on the door but it suddenly opened. Behind it was a messy-head, tired-eyed, gorgeous girl.
"Good morning beautiful." I smiled.
"Hi," She yawned, "I heard the car pull up just so you don't think I sat behind the door waiting."
I chuckled, "Don't lie, you couldn't wait to see me." I said sounding a little cocky.
"Maybe." She smiled.
"Paul! I'm sorry but, you've gotta wrap it up lad!" John shouted.
"I'm sorry," I softened my eyes.
"It's okay."
I stood there thinking about what to say. I pulled her into a hug and before I could think I opened my mouth, "Close your eyes and I'll kiss you, tomorrow I'll miss you. Remember I'll always be true. And then while I'm away I'll write home everyday, and I'll send all my loving to you."
I smiled down at her then kissed her, it was a long lingering kiss that I didn't want to end.
"Paul!" John shouted again.
"Right, sorry." I yelled back. "Makayla, I'll call and write daily, okay?"
"Okay," she smiled and I turned around before hearing her whisper, "I love you."
I turned back around, "I love you, too." It was the first time I had actually said it. I sang it to her but it's not the same.
I ran back to the vehicle and got in.
"Couldn't convince her to come?" Timothy asked.
"For the millionth time, she has a job to tend to, she can't just disappear for three or more weeks."
"Well Paulie, we're both alone on this trip so I give you permission to be my date." He smiled wrapping his arm around my shoulder.
"Awh, Johnny, I'd love to be your date!" I said in a girly voice. "Just don't tell Makayla." I looked at Callie and Katie who were both laughing hysterically.
The drive to the airport was filled with laughter, singing and John saying flirty things to me.
"Paulie, we're sharing a bed there right?" He winked.
"John, we can't take it to the next level." He gave me puppy eyes before bursting into laughter.
"What are we going to do with you two?" Callie asked.
"FEED US!" John shouted.
"Once we get on the airplane they'll bring you food." She told him.
"Yay!" He exclaimed like a young child.
Once we got to the airport we flew threw security and onto the private jet. Ringo and Callie sat together with George and Katie across from them as John sat towards the front of the aircraft to flirt with the flight attendant. I sat in the back by myself and starred out the window. I wish she could've come, but I can't let this ruin the trip. I'll have a great time.
"Hey George," I said.
"Yes?"
"Why are we out here so long?" I stood up to walk next to their seats.
"I think they said there's another concert in two weeks then they have some interviews for us. Little things like that." He answered.
"Ahh," was all I could say before returning to my seat.
It was a long flight so I figured I would take a nap. I set my seat back and propped my feet into the one across from me before closing the window cover.
